Not a bad point but Argyle do have a habit of letting teams back into games with absolute fecking howlers-Butcher today and Mumba at Ipswich two cases in point. At £1m Whitaker must be the bargain of the season and makes you wonder how long he'll be at HP-if he does go then the scouting system will have to be equally as proficient to get an adequate replacement Onto Southampton which seems a rather daunting prospect at the moment and Argyle will not be able to give away comic goals in that one and hope to get anything other than a severe tonking.

The OG was as bad as OGs get. Absolutely shocking. Re Whittaker, more and more convinced he will be gone in January, probably to Stoke.

The scouting system headed up by head of recruitment Jimmy Dickinson moving on from us will be a bigger blow than Whittaker moving on in a season or two's time imo. Jimmy's work in finding the players we have all enjoyed over the last few seasons has been exceptional and wont be easy to replace and i wont be shocked if come the summer he is approached by another club higher up the food chain.
Southampton is going to be a hard game and one i dont see us getting anything from.

The scouting system is data based-it doesn't rely on scouts like Jimmy Dickinson attending hundreds of matches in the hope of finding a potential star to recruit. It just needs someone (preferably with a maths bent) to analyse the data.
It will go on long regardless of personell.

No chance. He'll go in the summer to a prem side I reckon.

it still requires someone with the know how to analyse that data and see the results in the flesh also before making the bid putting all the facts and stats together which jimmy does well.

Still can't win though. Can't go all season with no away wins and avoid relegation.

if we can avoid losing away from home as much as poss even if its mainly drawns our current home form should keep us safe. Pending on who takes over i think the penny dropped with dewsnip that we cant play how we do at home away so a change in formation and style is required for us to sneak a couple of wins on the road.

a couple angers ..one would be nice for starters away form is dreadful needs to be addressed in the Jan window even if hallett & the board like it or not reinforcements badly needed
