PostSubject: Tractor Beys Away   Tractor Beys Away EmptyFri Oct 27, 2023 11:26 am

Our second shoeing of the season I think. If we start like we did on Weds they'll be 3 up in 20 mins.

I'm going 4-1 to them Crying or Very sad

Ipswich along with Leicester are a class above everyone else in this division. Both will be playing in the Prem next season. Think we'll raise our game and play 400% better than against Sheff Wed and we'll probably score but like most teams this season we'll come away from PR with absolutely zilch apart from maybe a patronising pat on the head from the Ippo fans.

3-1 to Ipswich. Hotdog with the consolation.

Could be on for a right ole fashion tonking today if the defence don’t defend as a unit & nothing less than 100% concentration no silly mistakes either or concede early otherwise this could be a very long day….expect nothing and if by some miricle we did get somethink it would be a absolute bonus

Unbelievable! And a top drawer strike by all accounts! Think we've probably peaked too early against one of the best teams in the Championship. I expect Ipswich will unleash hell now.

Argo get no luck from the ref but much worse is switching off and stupid mistakes which has cost us yet again. But we were always going to lose this one so the biggest concern today is not the result but Hardie being injured.

Bundu clean through, brought down from behind in the box. It's a pen and a red card. Ref gave nothing. Absolutely ridiculous.

Really good first half though.

Let a lead slip away again like we did against Swansea.

If we had held onto those 6 pts we would be in the top 10.

We need a"seasoned pro" to give us the game management we need

PostSubject: Re: Tractor Beys Away   Tractor Beys Away EmptySat Oct 28, 2023 5:44 pm

Have to say we were really unlucky to lose that. We started well, and a great move from back to front ended with Whittaker scoring a worldy in the top corner. After that we were comfortable, Ipswich had a lot of the ball but didn't really threaten and we were causing them problems on the break with some great pass and move football. Hardie had to go off, looked like a hamstring but he walked and jogged off so hopefully it may not be too serious.

Bundu came on, and after another great move was put through, he was brought down from behind in the area, clear red card and pen, the ref didn't give it. It was an unbelievable decision. Shortly after they equalised, scramble in the area it was going into Cooper's hands, and Mumba tried to clear but just deflected it into the corner. 1 - 1 at half time was probably right.

Ipswich came out strongly but didn't worry the back 4 until a long ball caught Scarr the wrong side of their forward. From then on it was end to end and we had any number of chances and really good situations. Some poor finishing and great saves by their keeper kept them in it. We went down to 10 men when Bundu went off, didn't see why, and they got the third after a lucky bounce in the area, the sort that we didn't get all day.

Edwards got one back, (he missed a sitter earlier on when it was 2 -1), and even then in injury time Whittaker crossed, Waine was there and just stopped his run for some reason, and the keeper palmed it away.

Everybody played well today, Kessler-Hayden, Randell and Cundle were outstanding. There was some issue with Morsy at the end, I thought he stamped on Cundle but wasn't sure.

Again a really good performance but no points, but absolutely nothing went for us today.

If Waine is the answer the question isnt who can lead the attack if hardie is out injured

Saved me a job, pretty much spot on although the challenge on bundy might've been just outside the box, but it was a red nonetheless as he was clear through on goal, ref and his assistants totally bottled it and that wasn't the only time that they were poor today. Hard to see where we go from here, 2, maybe 3 strikers taking knocks today and slipping deeper into trouble although not really being outplayed by anybody, it's an unforgiving league and chances or even half chances need to be converted more often with our final ball into the box letting us down too often, we just can't seem to buy a win away from home so our home fixtures become doubley crucial if we're to avoid the drop. All we can really do is keep supporting the team and management and hope for the best, getting on their backs in this situation would be counterproductive.

we need to be more clinical up front throughout the team and again drop that bloody 4 3 3 formation especially away from home had we been more sured up in defence today we may have taken the win.

bundu should have taken his opportunities when he was presented with them and not look to play someone else on and loose the ball if hardie is out long term or even in the short term we need him to pick up the reigns as waine isnt going to do it he was awful today when he came on so much so i would have taken him off. Which fwiw schuey needs to judge his subs management better and not do one for one hanges as that cost us today when bundu came off even though we only used 3 subs out of 5 allocated we stopped the game 3 times to make single subs and your only allowed 3 stops so schuey messed up there imo.

Mumba isnt the same Mumba from last season imo we need to play him where he excels and that's not as a wide striker or even in midfield we spent alot for us on him why are we not playing him where he plays best doesnt make sense too me that.

overall missed opportunity i dont care so much about how well we play if we go on too loose i would take a 1-0 win playing pulis football over losing 4-0 playing 1970's brazil. we got to find the balance in this league which i feel will take time and eventually schuey will get that too.

Ainsworth just been sacked by QPR, Sheff Wed on a transfer embargo (unpaid tax) after Owner stop covering losses, Rotherham and Huddersfield struggling, Rooney turning Birmingham into serial losers.

Plenty of scope for three teams to finish below us.

[quote="Freathy"]Down to 20th and Bundu and Hardie both out injured.  Probably long term.  We are so f***ed.[/quote) oh dear we could be bang in trouble with waine the only fit striker at the club at the moment but they knew that pre-season but choosed not to address it
It was only a matter of time before Hardie would get a knock as if he was gunna go all season without getting injured let’s have that right still think we started the season a striker & a CB short ..hope it don’t come back to haunt us

Scarr badly done for pace on the second goal, which i guess gives fuel to Angry's 4-5-1 argument. Not sure what Bali was trying to do for their opener but whatever it was ended up being an absolute disaster and at exactly the wrong moment-first half injury time goals seem to be very common in Argyle matches this season, for and against. Just have to swallow it i suppose and move on to the next one but tis hard indeed to accept losing to a bunch of gloating cnuts like them. My only visit to Ipswich resulted in a 3-2 loss after Argyle took the lead so nothing ever really changes.

Looks like Cooper didn't give a shout so Mumba thought he had to try to clear the ball.
