| Leeds will no doubt sell out their ticket allocation when they visit Home Park next February. Their away following is renowned, however, these fantastic photos I spotted on X ( Twitter ) on a visit from them to Argyle in 1986 got me perplexed. I was a mere slip of a lad at the time and I can’t understand why it was deemed necessary for them to be escorted out of HP via hacking up the pitch and out through the Devonport End main gate. Was it an antiquated 80s Health & Safety measure! ( Attendance was just shy of 12k BTW ) In the days before mobile phones they’re a great set of photos. https://twitter.com/Awaydays23/status/1709660549607215325 |

| Was that the 6-3 game? Would have been around that era. One of the most amazing games ever at Home Park. |

| If i remember rightly away fans were usually walked past the old Lyndhurst seating side in late 80s early 90s. Never seen them on the pitch like that before. Was a great game that one, Nicky Marker doing Ardiles in the Blackburn game was a favourite as well. |

No it wasn’t that memorable game. On this occasion it finished 1-1 with the blonde mulleted and sadly no longer with us Steve Cooper coming off the bench to score an equaliser. It was a beautiful autumnal day judging by those photos. |

| I remember when Chelsea played at home park. My brother is a Chelsea fan and he was in the away end and me and my cousin waited for him and he told us they were walked up the pitch and out of the demport end. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! Seem to remember some of Plymouth's finest getting a bit of porridge for trapping and besieging some Leeds fans in the Brit, must have been early in our last spell in the championship |

Mate of mine had a big chunk taken out of his arse by a police alsatian when scrapping with some gasheads behind the main stand and another mate was knocked out cold by a black one armed Chelsea fan. Always stayed out of such shenanigans myself-he who runs away lives to run away another day |

| I remember in the seventies reffing a combination league game on a pitch in CP which was on the main walking route from HP to the railway station, when about 2-3 mins before the end of our game there was a crowd of Chelsea fans heading towards our pitch, I assumed being chased by Argyle fans, I didn’t hang around to find out, ended the game early and buggered off to the changing room along with both teams |
