Tyreik Wright back for Plymouth Argyle's final pre-season game at Swindon Town
Steven Schumacher has given the latest injury updates on four Plymouth Argyle players with the start of the new season just eight days away.
Tyreik Wright will be part of Argyle's squad for their final warm-up match, away to League Two side Swindon Town at the County Ground tomorrow.
The 21-year-old has been out of action for the past fortnight after suffering a thigh injury in the 2-0 win at Plymouth Parkway on July 11.
However, defenders Brendan Galloway and Macaulay Gillesphey are still sidelined after missing all of pre-season due to injuries.
Galloway will definitely not be available for the Championship opener against Huddersfield Town at Home Park next Saturday, and it looks likely that will be the case too for Gillesphey.
Saxon Earley is also a doubt for the visit of Neil Warnock's Huddersfield after falling heavily on a shoulder during the 2-1 win away to Blackpool on July 15.
Wright has missed three pre-season matches since picking up his thigh problem against Parkway but Schumacher confirmed he had taken part in training yesterday and would be in the squad at Swindon.
Galloway is recovering from a leg injury while Gillesphey had a minor groin operation after the end of last season.
Schumacher said: "Brendan is ticking along okay, he's doing well. The plan for him is to start joining in with the group in the first couple of weeks of August. That has always been the plan, he's moving fine.
"Macaulay had a little bit of an issue this week where the scar healing from where he has had his operation was causing him a bit of discomfort.
"He went to see a specialist (on Wednesday) and it's nothing to worry about so he's probably two or three days behind. We would have liked Macca joining in with the group this week but he wasn't able to because he was still a bit too sore.
"So maybe he can join in with the group next week, or if not definitely the week after," added the Pilgrims' boss.
The early assessment of Earley after he was injured at Blackpool was that he might miss the season-opener against Huddersfield and Schumacher said: "Its probably still looking like that as well.
