to be honest, i had Graham Norton as the mystery BBC presenter who paid a teen for saucy photos to fund their drug addiction but im not a detective and i dint play one on tv so its a shock that someone like Huw would be like that!!!!

Who knows what anybody gets up to really in the privacy of their own homes. The Hearts forum I’m on posted some social media stuff so it was pretty much recognised it was Huw a few days ago. You have to have some sympathy for ALL involved in this whole episode especially since the police have stated there was no criminality involved. Lots of peoples’ lives will be affected by this

I totally understand where you’re coming from Les Miserable but as it stands we know all of the facts - 2 police forces have publicly stated there no evidence of any criminality, the young person (we don’t know whether boy or girl) has, through their lawyer, stated their was never anything untoward in what happened and they didn’t want to make any complaint, concerned parents (understandably), Huw Edwards has suffered years of depression and is currently in hospital and you have a wife & 5 kids who have been hit with an absolute bombshell. Each in their own way is going through hell. I am as uncomfortable as probably most people with what Hew Edwards has done - I do find it hard to understand as to why or what he was doing but whether I like it or not , in the eyes of the law, as it stands, he’s done nothing illegal. Bloody close to the bone and wholly unsavoury but not illegal. In the fullness of time other facts may emerge and things may take a different tact. But at the moment my sympathies are with them all as all their worlds have been shattered.

As long as it takes the spotlight away from the tory theft who cares?

It seems 'mental health' issues are all the rage these days, I wish they were around when I was a kid instead of having to be dragged to court for every transgression that wasn't my fault.

Yep - we’ll all have a ‘card’ we can conveniently pull out so we can blame it all on somebody or someone. I must say I get more and more disenchanted with society these days esp. most social media and how they’re used.

I think he’s hiding behind the “Mental Health Epidemic” that’s currently sweeping the country!
Frankly if it was my son receiving Edward’s money for that type of photograph that was funding his drug habit I’d want to rip his head off whether it’s a criminal matter or not.
The morals of this bloke are disgusting, not thinking of his wife nor his 5 children, sod him as far as I’m concerned.
