Just reading the BBC site on the "Pasty Tax" - TVA (sorry VAT over there) on cold food and supermarkets being brought into line with smaller retailers. Apparently D. Cameron lkes 'em hot, from Greggs West Cornish Pasty Co bought on Leeds Railway Station.
They've got the opposition front bench visiting Greggs and buying sausage rolls - not pasties. Political gaff??
Waiting to hear what a Cornishman says on Radio 4 - should pasties be eaten hot or cold. (Waiting with bated breath).
Landlord of pub in Mevagissey says (judge at recent pasty competition) ......... pasties should be eaten hot straight from the oven. What a surprise!!
Bon appetit mes amis.
