if we weren't going to be up for this game i wouldn't have minded as much if we played some of the kids, players who aren't starting games as much and put burton in goal in order to "rest" some of our key players rather than put out a strong ish side and get hammered.

there is no justification for this from the players and Schumacher has to read the riot act over this while taking his share of the fault. Further proof that if we don't strengthen the squad in January both quality and depth we are just going to fade away from the promotion chase and if we arent careful playoffs too.

Dont hold your breath bhey. I know you've seen it from the start this is a great team but a thin squad, the defence was suspect last year and still is and we are too realiant on Mumba, Azaz and Whitiiker. Trouble is January is tough for clubs like to ours to strengthen in.

it would still be unacceptable to loose this heavy even with a "weaken" side but at least we could hide behind the fact we were saving players for the league push.

Grimsby fans were probably expecting Argo to be a team of world beaters who would give their team a good spanking LOL.  Bet they couldn't believe their eyes when this pile of shit 'team' turned up and was very probably by far the worst team they had played in years.  No way back for Argo now. It will be rapidly all down hill from here.

No more Cup games will give the players a few rest days, big Clubs will stop sniffing around the Manager and the parent clubs of the loanees will be thinking "best leave him down in Devon, clearly not ready to step up yet"
