Argo are such easy pickings for any club higher up the leagues. This is why we can never be a Championship club.
Can't argue with that, time to dip into the millions in the bank and offer Shoe E a substantial pay rise or the sad old cycle looks set to continue. Why is Darren Ferguson lined up though? Out of work so no Compo to pay that's why!
If we need a new Manager, we are top of the League with money in the back. So why not advertise and get the best available?
Carrick, Edwards, Wilder, Parker Gary Monk are all looking for work. Then there's currently employed Managers like Johnson (Jnr) Robins M Taylor (that would be good) Bruce, Hughes etc.etc. who are all worth an interview.
But no "same old Argyle" will go for the cheap option.

| Been scanning through the footie press, to me it looks like Brom are seriously interested in Schuey. Whatever will be will be. |

Carrick would be my choice if not Edwards both would fit the young manager criteria the board are wanting if you recall the press statement when they appointed Schumacher. Just not Ferguson or Bruce for that matter even though we could never afford him nor attract him down this part of the country. Lets hope the board are ready to act should WBA come calling so we are prepared as remember we wont be the only team looking for a manager atm. |

| From what I'm hearing it's a done deal will be announced in the morning, apparently it's been on the burner for a while now and the club will be bringing in Martin Bird as first team Manager, just been wrangling about the compo. |

Sensible choice. Hallett must insist he also carries on with his day job. |

if Darrren Ferguson is the answer a like for like manager who will continue attacking football that we have seen isnt the answer btw. Nixon is a 3rd rate hack who couldn't break an egg!! As I understand it, no approach has been made by WBA and Sean Dyche is in the frame; was allegedly seen at their game V Reading. Think about it, you've got a handful of experience managers out of work, why would you pay compo for someone barely been in the top job for a year? On the flip side Schuey and family are settled here, he's got a fantastic relationship with the top brass and has time and space to learn the trade. |

Shoey would be mad not to take the gig, if it were offered to him. Funny that his odds were slashed yesterday, it could mean someone has laid a huge wad of cash on him to get the job or maybe the bookies know something we don't. The other wierd thing is Furgeson being in our box on Saturday. I hope he stays and sees the job out but I'm not confident. |

| Only Skybet have him in the running, not mentioned anywhere else.
Its not just about the money on offer its whats best for his career, if he goes there and stinks the place out, is career is over before it's begun. |

Anywhere I'm less confident than I was 30 mins or so ago. |

| Has anyone thought that Ferguson might be there to look over the MKD team before saying yes to taking over when they sack the manager? Just because he was in the directors box sitting near the Argyle group doesn’t necessarily mean he is taking over from Shuey. Maybe he sat where he did so as not to alert the MKD fans what is happening. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Calm down everyone schuey ain’t going nowhere ! Would be absolutely mentel if he did at this stage of his career it’s his first job he ain’t got the expirence his very much still learning his craft plus the riches will follow not doubt in his career to better things but at the moment as I say his still learning his craft can see him staying for a couple of seasons gaining knowledge & experience then moving on with what’s best for himself & his family when the time is right |

| Gave interviews on the baggo this morning on Sparksy and the Palace match, certainly didn't have the look of someone who was about to bomb up the M5 anytime soon. |

| No denial from Schumacher I notice. There will be a period of protracted silence from both Schumacher and the club while Argo and West Brom sort everything out behind the scenes. Argo eventually make a statement saying he's left the club. Argo statement swiftly followed by a West Brom press conference to unveil their new manager. It all seems so inevitable. Only thing Argo can do is draw up a greatly improved contract but it's unlikely to be anywhere near as good as what West Brom are offering him. |

| Baggies unofficial saying that it looks like more rumour than fact now, odds for Schuey have slid a bit as well. |
