Argyle have been drawn alongside Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town in the 22/23 Papa John's Trophy competition.
Newly promoted Rovers, Sky Bet League Two side Swindon and Argyle make up three of the four teams in Group E of the southern section of the competition, with one further invited under-21 side to be announced.
It will be the third time in the last four seasons that the Greens will play the Robins in this competition, winning 3-0 at the Energy Check County Ground in 2019 before falling to a 3-1 defeat at Home Park last time out.

The Pilgrims' Carabao Cup first round opponents will be announced on Thursday, and Argyle are ball no.25 in the southern section of the draw - which will take place on Sky Sports
