Sajid Javid
There will be no further Covid restrictions in England before the new year, Sajid Javid has said.
But the health secretary said people should "remain cautious" and celebrate outside on New Year's Eve if possible.
"When we get into the new year, of course we will see then whether we do need to take any further measures, but nothing more until then at least," he said.
Meanwhile, England reported a record number of cases on Christmas Day.
The figures showed there were 113,628 new infections reported in England on 25 December, 103,558 on 26 December and 98,515 on 27 December.

If Argyle staff or players families are not in block 20, it is only 612 seats that will be netted

still a good 500 too many. If they banned the idiots why punish the rest taking away 500 seats that could be sold.
Missing out potentially on a few extra grand.

Still no news from Portsmouth if they have sold more of their allocation of tickets, 1700, last week 1,200 sold

What exactly does it achieve anyway it's the stewards and cops that actually stop any violence. Does anyone have an idea that the people in charge of the netting allocation have never seen any actual trouble at the football?

I mean I say a few grand that's rough calculation off the top of my head.
I wasn't at the game where it all kicked off.
I don't see what netting would do to stop anyone getting to someone , they wanted to get to.
Yeah they were dickheads, but in a crowd of 10-15 you are gonna get idiots.
Netting ain't gonna help anything. Except punish those who can't commit to a season ticket, want to get into Argyle after seeing how well we are doing etc, then we wonder why they go into town to get a Liverpool shirt from sports direct instead.

I hope the stories I’m hearing of Covid at Argyle aren’t true.

if there is one it would be down to how many of the first team players have caught it too as to if the game gets called off or not. if its only a couple we will still be made to play same for pompey.

Not seen it, But if its true and its like that, there is no advantage to it. apart from pissing those off that choose to sit there.

The shysters running the FL won't be able to brush this off for much longer. They had the chance the other week but ordered teams to play on if you were able to muster any sort of resemblance of a team.
