Having not been drawn on the current situation at this morning's press conference, Ipswich Town manager Paul Cook has now confirmed Peter Reid will be joining his coaching team on a consultancy basis.
The former England international, who has had a host of clubs in a managerial career including taking Sunderland into the Premier League, has been spotted at Town's last two games.
And he will now resume the link-up he began with manager Paul Cook while at Wigan Athletic in 2017.
On the arrival of the former Bolton Wanderers, Everton and Manchester City midfielder, Cook told iFollow Ipswich: "I worked with Peter for three years at Wigan.
"He’s a great guy. In the footballing world, you’ll rarely find someone who is as respected as Peter Reid, not just as a footballer but also what he’s done as a manager.
