Danny Mayor facing further spell out of action
Danny Mayor will miss at least the next two matches for Plymouth Argyle because of a continuing thigh injury.
The Pilgrims will be without the 30-year-old for their League One fixture at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and the Carabao Cup second round trip to Swansea City next Tuesday, according to manager Ryan Lowe
Lowe said: "Danny Mayor's thigh is still tight. We have had it looked at, but when you get things looked at it shows a million things.
"Dan knows his own body well. We won't rush him because there's no point. I will leave that with the medical team, he's in good hands with them."
Lowe added: "We are shutting him down in terms of not training, nothing at all really, just probably a little bit of bike work and rehab stuff.
"He's laying off any sort of contact and high intensity running. He will still be ticking over doing bits and bobs because he will need to keep the blood flowing through his legs.
