| The hamstring injury to Ennis is 'not a good one' according to Lowe, who could now try to bring in two new forwards
Lowe had been working on bringing in one forward anyway, to compete for places with Ennis, Ryan Hardie and Luke Jephcott.
But with Ennis now facing a possible lengthy spell on the sidelines, and Jephcott set to miss matches due to Wales Under-21 call-ups later in the season, two strikers are on Lowe's shopping list.
Ennis picked up his hamstring injury in the warm-up before the season-opening 2-0 League One defeat at Rotherham United on August and according to Lowe "it's not a good one".
Lowe said: "I don't want to put a timeline on it, but any hamstring can be six to eight weeks, to 12 weeks, we just don't know yet.
Lowe continued: "The kid is gutted because he has done pre-season and he has been flying - he has been fit and firing.
"I have told him 'Look, these setbacks happen, you have just got to make sure you keep moving in the right direction.'
"We have got a fantastic medical team and fantastic lads who will help him through it. They are all there for each other.
"He will be back with us this week and he will start his rehab. He will keep doing the right things and hopefully we will get him back sooner rather than later
The only striker the Pilgrims had among their seven substitutes were 18-year-old Rhys Shirley, who has made two appearances off the bench for the senior side.
"We have got money in the budget to add two or three, but it's finding those two or three. Everyone is looking for the same type of players.

| I think Lowe needs to do a lot of phone talking. All very predictable I'm afraid. Hmm! |

| Two games into the season and trying to find a decent striker, yeah, good luck with that one Ryan. |

The one good thing argyle have got going for them, is that he will be guaranteed to play. A lot. |

| Choice will be a bit limited. Can't be that many ex teammates he's not signed already.
He'll be on "Dial-a-scouser" for any possibilities |

| We should pay the wages of a decent CCC young player who wants experience, don't think there's any shortage of them IF you pay the wages. A three month deal should see us through the sticky patch whilst we look for someone more permenant. |

Zackly Reg I didn't expect him to go pulling up trees but he's a good steady player with a few goals in him, you wouldn't be surprised with double figures if he played all season. |
