JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink praised the character of his players for keeping going to snatch an injury time equaliser to earn a point at home to Plymouth.
Albion had had the best of the chances in the first half but found themselves behind as the game reached 90 minutes, only for Ryan Broom to score in added time. Indeed, Albion could have even won the game with shouts for a penalty turned down before the final whistle blew.
The Brewers manager thought a point was the least his team deserved.
He said: “I think we should have had the three points. In the first half we were excellent and created a lot of opportunities. Danny Rowe gave us something different. He’s getting fitter and fitter, and he created chances for us and normally you would score two.
“In the second half we didn’t create as much as we should have done but our mentality kept us in the game, and we got the reward in the end.
“When we went behind, we showed character and kept on going.
“I also thought after we scored, we should have had a penalty. From five yards, it’s handball but the referee doesn’t give it. You still have to score it but it we could have won it.
“We weren’t satisfied with the draw but I’m extremely happy with the boys’ commitment and their desire.
“Sometimes the chips are going to be down but what you can’t do is cave in. You have to keep on going, keep on believing and keep being together and we did that.
“It’s another point. Mathematically we are not there yet but we keep on chipping away. Three points wasn’t meant to be today. We have to take the point, but we are not satisfied and that has to be a good place to be.”

Yet again another Cooper error leads to their goal parrying straight to their player. Further words superfluous on the subject

There's not many teams that can turn a throw in near the half way line into a shooting opportunity for the opposition within 6 seconds!

C'mon it will be fun for you and Grovey. Stick you both in a padded cell and you can both rant at each other about Lowe and Hallett until you're blue in the face.
...and maybe Nool will make your day and come visit you?
