But politics doesn't work like that any more, least as far as the Tories are concerned. You don't need to be competent or have any sort of expertise, you just have be a supporter of the leader. What other explanation is there for a cabinet that still contains Williamson, who has shown on many occasions that he is totally out of his depth. Patel, found guilty of breaking the ministerial code but still in the job as her boss decided that didn't matter. Jenrick, who saved his mate millions by fiddling the planning regulations, but it was ok, because he didn't think that he did anything wrong.
And now Hancock, who will get away with this because he has the support of the leader. Finally Boris, who lies every day, but later on says he didn't say that, and even if he did it doesn't matter, because people should be grateful for all the important things that he does.
It has been a complete shambles, there is little doubt that people have died because of the Government's actions, or lack of as the case may be, saved only by the vaccinations, which, thank goodness, has been taken out of the hands of the private sector and given to the NHS.
Of course, Johnson should go, Hancock should be already gone, Patel, Williamson etc etc the list goes on.
Will they? Of course not. The only safe job these days is in Boris's cabinet. The truth is they have always been corrupt the difference is before Brexit you never cared about it like the rest of the population, you've obviously forgotten about David Blunkett Home Secretary who fiddled £50k on his mortgage expenses and kept his job by offering a simple apology? Blair with his lies about Saddam and Iraq have cost hundreds of thousands of lives yet he got a knighthood. |

You're not getting it are you. I know you want to bring everything back to Brexit as the rabid brexiteers always do, but this isn't about that. Yes, there there always has been corruption in all political parties, but these new ERG inspired Tories are taking it to a new level. You can always tell when a politician is moving away from the democracy that elected him/her by the willingness to be questioned or to be challenged, by the opposition, the media, whoever it may be. Johnson hides from that, simply because he thinks he should not be challenged over anything. He denies saying things when it is on the record and as long as his supporters within Government toe the line, they can get away with anything. That's not democracy, that's autocracy. Further proof is the upcoming visit to Britain by the autocratic Hungarian leader Orban, one of the most far right politicians in the World, let alone Europe. Why would Johnson welcome such an individual. A wonderful trade deal perhaps? Unlikely, as Hungary remains in the EU. No meetings arranged with our European allies, Germany, France, Spain etc etc. Perhaps, Orban wants the lowdown on how to leave the EU, how simple it is and how wonderful things will be afterwards. If there is to be a break up of the EU, Johnson will want to be at the heart of it no doubt. Visit to Moscow on the cards? All speculation I know, but there is no doubt that this Government is moving more and more to the right, which inevitably means more control over the population. |

Immediately your invective side comes to the fore. The reality is that Leavers had every reason to be infuriated when jiggery-pokery saw an illustration of the ballet paper with a pen craftily poised next to the remain box. Certain they would win, the remain faction behaved "appallingly" after realising a democratic vote saw them beaten ... and you've got the nerve to talk about the inevitability of "more control over the population." Attempting to snatch their victory was snatched from them. |

Sorry, that was sent before completion. In a nutshell, to ignore the "leavers victory" would hand control back to Whom? the reality is that ATDs remainer covern would gladly see the UK back in the stifling hands of 28 unelected commissioners whereby all the "control" so recently snatched back would be lost forever. They can go inseminate themselves. "Our European allies, Germany, France and Spain. Hahahahaha And what exactly is your connection with Sucina ? |

| This Indian variant has the ability to decimate the younger unvaccinated set Only my oldest of 5 has had his first jab and the other two (in UK) completely unprotected
God forbid if any of these 3 catch this latest variant introduced by Johnson |

God forbid if any of these 3 catch this latest variant introduced by Johnson Get a grip Harve. The young always mix a lot more than us oldies. It’s almost inconceivable that they won’t have already been exposed to the virus probably been asymptotic & consequently already have antibodies. Vulnerable groups of young people will have already been vaccinated. The demographic of these latest outbreaks is very specific in terms of areas, but we or the media can’t talk about that. Those hospitalised are primarily those who have already refused the vaccine. But yes, you’re right about the variant. It shouldn’t have had an opportunity to get here quite so easily. |

| Out of my two boys the eldest will have his jab (28) youngest will have it if he needs it to travel (25) and my 25 year old daughter in law who is three months pregnant was going to get it but is now wavering because of side affects and her pregnancy. None of them know anybody in their age group that has had any alarming symptoms from actually catching the virus. They don't see it as a threat to themselves mainly because it isn't. I think if it's proven the young are holding back the unlock I'd expect at least my other boy to have the jab. Boris for once has dne the right thing with his jab rollout it's the only thing he has nailed. |

| Lets see what our ultra populist leader does on the 21st June With the Indian variant doubling roughly every week only a complete fool would remove all restrictions on the 21st (as we know he is a fool)
However our hero has seen a slight drop in the ratings (apparently) in polls yesterday over Cummings and aborting that "freedom day" in just over 3 weeks will not go down well with his fan boys
Just a pity Starmer is seen as so weak currently
(Out of interest there were a lot of people in Morrisons Peverall yesterday with no masks on. Have not seen to that high level before) |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] That's bollocks and has been widely reported that Boris followed Cummings advice and set up a separate committee to administer the vaccine rollout because in Cummings words "the health department is not fit for purpose", so no it's just the NHS that takes the credit, in fact it's about the only thing the government as whole has done right in the last twelve months. |

| Speaking as someone who is a chronic pain sufferer from having an "urgent" spinal operation put back for two years in 2005 I would agree with anybody that says the current setup and funding of the NHS leaves a lot to be desired and has done for years. Not just Tories and fook all to do with Brexit. |

| Look at NHS Track and Trace, £37 Billion in the NHS's pocket for feck all, it is a disgrace.
Why doesn't Boris take it back and give it to an outside agency? _______________________________________ COYG!

| What does Johnson do. He really is caught between a rock and a hard place. Delay the 21st and the country squeals understandably but cause more deaths and that dangling 2nd leg will be in the Old Bailey joining the 1st Got to delay in my opinion. Common sense has to prevail [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

I hope you are fit and well now Mr E, as I can understand your pain after watching my son suffer from a prolapsed disc - the pain was such he was often in tears. Unfortunately, much of the NHS budget goes on the private finance initiative (PFI) which was first introduced by John major's government although spending really went ballistic under Tony Blair's stewardship. My first link gives you some idea of the colossal figures involved while the second link highlights Swindon's hospital which I picked out at random. I recommend you read the Swindon link as it shows the interest worked out by the hospital finance staff is about £8-12m higher than a bog-standard bank loan - and if changes aren't made the hospital will never be out of deficit. Strewth!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
