Prof Sir John Bell, a member of the government's vaccine taskforce, criticised France for changing its vaccine advice, calling it "crackers".
France is refusing to give the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine to under-55s having previously said it was unsuitable for older people - a move Prof Bell said undermined confidence in the vaccination rollout.
"It doesn't make any sense. The whole thing looks completely crackers. They are changing the rules almost every week," he told Today.
"They are really damaging people's confidence in vaccines generally - not just the AstraZeneca vaccine.
"They are sitting on a massive stockpile of vaccines that they haven't deployed yet and at the same time they have got a massive wave of the new variants coming across the country. You couldn't make it up."

It isn't / won't be allowed, but imagine that surplus jabs be offered to visiting workers / ordinary Spanish citizens for a reasonable fee. So how come those protests were allowed yet last week the police were quite strict on enforcing the covid rules and stopped the vigil to a murdered woman who was aducted by a copper from the streets and caused all sorts of bother and bad pr.

Is it anywonder no one has faith in the police anymore when they are this wishy washy on how they enforce rules.

I find it staggering that Johnson has managed to oversee the deaths of 140,000 of our citizens with clear culpability and yet the papers are leading with him breaking the Ministerial Code (daily occurence) and are ranting over just £60,000 extra on wallpaper and other furnishings

What about the £37 Billion he's squandered (read stolen) on a former horse jockey who has not even been seen this year

i didn't watch the andrew marr show but i would say it was as this was the main london protest. The video near the end showed that virtutally no one was there to protest the lockdowns but to have a go at the police calling them allsorts and film themselves ranting at the OB. Arressts made where clearly actors and actresses as they seemed to have a speech well rehearsed and one old dear wsa seen on camera rubbing her wrists against the handcuffs to obviously use to say shes a victim of police brutality.

Coincidence I'm sure, but three successive days for a record number of vaccines administered since those nasty, bullying EU rats started kicking off and threatening us with vaccine sanctions!

I see this as a big FECK YOU to the EU.

Why are we fighting to go on holiday to pop up these nasty European countries, they need our money, Fu+k them
