| I think it was the guy who claimed that things had gone on that demonstrated his own ambition was not matched by that of the club.
It was what I was told by an ex director too. Promises of seeking out additional investment to support a promotion bid, were found to have not been acted upon.He was then easy to headhunt by Leicester, a club whose ambition exceeded even his. |

But it is a fair comment to say the vast majority of you are completely obsessed with that man, Chris Webb and Pasoti. If you weren't you wouldn't talk about it so much. I do wonder if this is an Argyle forum sometimes, as the games rarely get discussed but Ian Newell farts in the wrong direction and we get a 50 pager on our hands.
It's my complete honest opinion, and we are all allowed one, that people like Tring, Andy, GOB are desperate to be one of the in crowd on Pasoti, or with the important figures at HP. They can't have that so have created their own little world here to be top of this tree instead Before I start my reply to the above quotes from young Mr Green Tint, I should really take Czarcasm up on the odds he's offering on the true identity of our young friend, because I know who it is; I also know that he likes a bet, so maybe Czar could do a bit of business with him. I also know that nothing would give Green Tint a bigger hard-on than being asked to become a moderator on pasoti. Maybe one day, when you're old enough, you'll get there.
Oh, and thank you, young Mr Tint for giving me a really good laugh. Yep, you've got me bang to rights there. I'm so desperate to be one of the pasoti 'in-crowd' that I left pasoti of my own valition, told the 'in-crowd's' big kahuna, Mr Newell, exactly what I thought of him, and (as I have always done) continued to put my own, fiercely independent point of view, not knowing or caring who disagreed with me. And I'll continue to do that, regardless of the fact that so many pasoti posters are obsessed with me to the point that they feel the need to defame me just for volunteering to help the Trust. When, young Mr Tint, you finally develop an adult perspective on the world, you'll see that it is actually possible to make your own way in life. you don't have to follow a crowd, as you are currently doing. You can formulate your own opinions rather than regurgitating the views of others just to curry favour; try it, it's quite liberating.
But I'm not going to out you, even though the temptation is strong (and I reckon i could get a tenner on it at about 250/1 with Czar). You've tried to join in the general attacks upon me but it hasn't quite worked; unfortunately for you, you're a bit late. If you'd tried to have a pop at me before your mentor had been forced to backtrack and back down in his rather puerile attempt to drag my name through the mud, you might have got away with it, but now people can see your attacks for what they are -worthless attempts at defaming someone just because you don't like the website where that person chooses to spend time.
And it's also rather ironic, don't you think, that someone who criticises others for being 'obsessed' with another website, would come on to ATD to post the thoughts that you've posted today. You're just coming across as the other side of the same coin.
Oh, and one last question. Why not post on here using the same username you have on pasoti? Most users of both sites do exactly that. Or wouldn't you want it to be known that you're an ATD poster too? Andy, you have my permission. Out my Pasoti username if you wish. I presume it was a good guess, and you can't, as a mod, see my personal email address which would give the game away My comment viz a viz not doing enough for the club in administration certainly was not aimed at you. You are one on here who I personally know did as much as you could - let's get that clear. But to the rest of your post... 'So many Pasoti posters are obsessed with you?' Don't flatter yourself, mate. One poster to my knowledge - a relatively new poster (who have a track record for trolling) posted something about you. Correct me if I'm wrong, did several posters not jump to your defence? Believe Ian was one of them was he not? My mentor? Who's that then? Ian? Chris Webb? Daz? Ponty? Well that's news to me, but thanks for letting me know. As an ex Pasoti poster, you will have seen my posts. I use Luggy's second stint as an example. I spent hours defending that man on that site, receiving countless abusive PM's, people hounding me for having an opinion cos it was different etc. Is that following the crowd? Or is that having a fiercely independant point of view? Yes I like Pasoti. It's a great site - which without, we wouldn't have a football club. I don't care what any of you think, I believe that to be fact. I also stand by my remark of you and several others wanting to be part of the in crowd. Unfortunately you couldn't do that with your 'fiercely independant views', so had to come running here where you are accepted as the returning hero, rather than stick it out over on Pasoti and defend these famous independant views. I believe that to be true of others on here too. Here on ATD, you have built your own community. Credit to you all, it's a nice site and has some lively debates. Unfortunately, most of these debates stem from guessing which alias IJN, Daz or Chris are 'supposedly' posting under and how you all told them the big financial mess was coming (Yes you Tring). I don't frequent this site too often, but sometimes can't help myyself from posting when I shouldn't. TRING, I UNDERSTAND YOU SAW IT COMING. DO YOU WANT A MEDAL OR SOMETHING? | Don't want a medal Cobi. I'm naaaaat a praaaaaper faaaan ! It would help to rekindle my physical involvement with the club if I believed lessons had been learnt. Now we're going to spend several years in the 4th and god forbid, 5th tiers of English football, with little hope of really competing, as we have an inept and inarticulate manager [Brent rates him ], and Brent's debts to pay off for 5 years. I'm pretty certain that even the current diehard fans will tire of endless flag waving, fanfests, visits to poxy grounds and the whole organic experience. That is, unless they are really thick and have little else in their lives. Their leaders will of course, continue to bang the drum and be thrown scraps off Brent's table, in reward of their continued efforts to fleece the Avivas.'Play the Janner song Banana, they love it !' Non Avivas will have become disinterested in the whole charade. Who's goin Ebbsfleet ? I know you will |

No club without Pasoti? How is that a fact? One of the famous 'Pasotifacts' no doubt. Go on say it.... We would have no club without Posty alerting the club to the court date etc... A load of self serving rubbish by people trying to big themselves up all the time. It seems Brenda thinks the very same people were bad for the club in reality as they drove prospective buyers away. Very disillusioned dear boy. I was like you over 40 years ago. If you have a brain and things don't change for the better, you will stop being such an annoying Aviva too. It's quite nerdy being so committed to the Argyle Circus at your age. One glance around the supporters' coach should tell you that ffs ! Now trot off and resurrect Greenbonk. Understand this. Every single moderator on here knows who Green Tint is. We know what their email address is and that gives the game away - as Green Tint themselves posted. Show me where a moderator on here has 'outed' anyone. Please withdraw that remark, it is offensive to us mods. |

Of course I can see your email, but, unlike A Certain Pasoti Moderator, I'm not going to publish posters' personal email details on the web for all to see (and in breach of the Data Protection act). I have standards.
My comment viz a viz not doing enough for the club in administration certainly was not aimed at you. You are one on here who I personally know did as much as you could - let's get that clear. But to the rest of your post...

No, Ian was the person who stated that the hitherto un-named Trust Volunteer who was only doing it for the free ticket ( ) was me. Up til then no names had been mentioned, and most people would have been mystified. Following Ian's intervention, the world and his wife was told that I was a freeloader who hadn't been seen at Home Park til the Trust booths had been set up. An out and out lie from Mr Newell.
My mentor? Who's that then? Ian? Chris Webb? Daz? Ponty? Well that's news to me, but thanks for letting me know. As an ex Pasoti poster, you will have seen my posts. I've never seen you publicly disagree or argue with any of the great and the good on pasoti. One explanation could be that you never think they're wrong. Or you just say what you believe they want to hear. Either way, try and develop a little independence. It's liberating.
It's a website. The 21st century equivalent of arguing in the pub after the game. If you truly believe that pasoti saved the club, I'd suggest that you have missed out a group of people whose sacrifice was far greater than anyone from pasoti. Or do the staff and players who went unpaid for the best part of a year not figure in your analysis? Part of the in-crowd? You do realise that every time you point a finger at someone you have three fingers pointing back at you? I have no desire for a parking permit at the ground, a seat in the Directors box, or even a pass to the Business lounge. I thoroughly enjoy working in the Trust Booths on a saturday (while my mate Big Kev thoroughly enjoys the use of my Season ticket - that's SEASON ticket ) and that's as far as my desire to be part of ANY crowd goes. Unless you think that by having a couple of pints after the game with the Chair of the Trust, or 'my mate Woz' as I prefer to think of him, counts as trying to ingratiate myself with 'the in-crowd'. I left pasoti because of the way it dealt (or rather didn't deal) with the racism issue after the problems with the chants. For a website to say that 'the only off-limits topics are race and immigration' and then allow posters to make the most appalingly racist, abusive and ignorant comments on the 'Racism' thread disgusted me, as someone who's spent his entire adult life campaigning against those attitudes. If I had stayed on pasoti after that, I'd have been condoning those views. That is my opinion, and it will not alter.
Sometimes, the least popular views turn out to be correct. Tring called it correctly, and is entitled to say his piece. Plenty of people wanted us to trust in Stapes, Surroy, Todd etc. Maybe when those people now say 'believe in Brent', there should be an entitlement to look at their track record and say 'er, are you sure?'
Look forward to hearing some replies. The sad thing is, you're actually quite an affable bloke, and on a personal level I like you well enough. And I know you're a genuine fan. But your only contribution to this site seems to be to try and convert us all to the Church of Pasoti. I've been there and seen how far downhill that site has gone. I've also been on the receiving end of some frankly creepy behaviour from people who just can't accept that I no longer wish to use pasoti for my online Argyle fix. Seriously, when someone sets up an entire website just to post a whole lot of 'spoof' accounts which amongst other things accused me of 'ripping off' my customers at my then-employer (look up 'libel' and see how it might apply in that instance) you do have to question whether the person behind that site is operating at the same level as normal, sane, human beings. Yet you say you won't say a bad word about the bloke. |

Thanks for a full and frank reply, with some reasonable points. As we have stated, off the internet we have shared a pint or two and may continue to do so (best leave the Port though, eh?)

Or set up a spoof site called pissedollie where the main character, holly argyle is a junkie, transsexual with a crush on the pissedollie leader IBM. |

| Personally I find this 'Who are you on PASODI?' stuff benign.
I'm all for protecting the site after what IBS did to our last one, but not the extent where we're putting off new posters, if they're "greentinted" or not. Mind you, it would be easier if people stuck to one username (though even I used until recently a different user on PASOTI). |
