| According to the Daily Mail, the above named [ex managing director of Man Utd] has an interest in investing in a league 1 club and Argyle are mooted as one of the possibilities.Thought it was a load of bullshit at first and of course any ex Man Utd personnel must be treated with wariness after Sir Roy and his entourage but google provided one item with a vaguely interesting connection; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Mates with Kevin Blackwell and that looks suspiciously like a 1990's Argyle shirt in one of the pictures.I know Simon Hallett has said that Argyle will need further finance should any sort of optimum level be an ambition-obviously due diligence would be required and i would trust SH to carry it out competently but who knows, there may be something of benefit in this. |

| if its true and he is indeed looking to invest in us he must be vetted before hes even talked too by us after the last time we got taken in by an ex man utd director. Im sure Simon and this board are more savvy than the shower in charge last time around.
one that note has anyone seen lifelong fan keith todd at home park in recent years? seems to have disappeared of the face of the earth |

| He (like Sir Roy Gardner) has never been on the MUFC football board. Knows sweet FA about running a football club.
But then, it's nowt to do with the fans, it's up to the owner who believes in Americanisms like moneyball data analysis and no doubt thinks that flogging replica kit is the way to get on in football. |

Ever wondered why Google, Facebook and Amazon etc, are so successful? Only a luddite like you, doesn't believe in data analysis. . ..and God help the club if fans of your ilk were in charge. |

RL doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of data analysis either, virtually every player he brings in is either someone he played in the same team as, managed at Bury or on a personal recommendation from a mate! Oh hang on, perhaps data analysis would be better! |

| I've always maintained that Hallett would struggle to take us much further than the level we are at now without committing way more cash than he has put in to date. Doubt if he'd be ready to hand over the reigns yet though. |

Oh hang on, perhaps data analysis would be better! Data anysis would give us a huge advantage if we were the only club employing them which we aren't. At the end of the day I'm sure Data anylitics would suggest we should sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United but it's the price tag which would stop us. |

......and how does that work Angry ! Its not difficult to check into someone's business dealings in the public eye if they are looking to buy into a football club. |

| It's all just speculation atm. I doubt if Argyle's worth has risen enough yet for SH & Co to want to dilute possible future gains.
Flirting with promotion in front of 10,000+ crowds next season and people might think about cashing in.
But I think we'll need a change of manager to reach that goal. |

Oh hang on, perhaps data analysis would be better! Good to have those contacts though, when I’ve got the hump over results I ask myself 2 questions, have we improved as a team compared to our last spell in L1 and are we playing the better football since the days of Adams, I think the answer to that is yes. Course he’ll have failures in signing players, even the best managers cock that up on occasions, maybe some on here should park their dislike of scousers before giving a football opinion |
