Argyle News
Argyle is seeking revenge for the 4 – nil home defeat by Rochdale earlier this season.
Lewis Macleod will not be rushed into a return to first team action, he is continuing to work closely with Argyle’s head physio, Dave Galley, on a fitness programme.
Gary Sawyer has been training with the squad now for 10 days so he is fit but getting him up to match fitness is going to be tough because we have no development squad games to play him in.
George Cooper, who had an operation on his left knee is not expected to play again this season,

. Rochdale News
Manager Brian Barry-Murphy reflects on the week and looks ahead to Saturday’s League One fixture against Plymouth Argyle at the Crown Oil Arena… This week has been brilliant preparation for us coming off the back of Tuesday night.
The lads were very disappointed initially and felt we should have won the game at Blackpool, but we’re really looking forward to getting back to our own patch and we’re intent on putting on a performance that will give us the best possible opportunity to gain three points. We’ll obviously be looking to continue that on Saturday against a Plymouth team who are in great form Plymouth have had their own difficult spells in the season but they’ve bounced back amazingly well and are now on a great run of form. Ryan Lowe has obviously done a great job with them and they’ve come through that sticky period, and now that they are reaping the rewards of that, it must feel great for them. Our performances recently have been very good and the lads are in very good form, so it’s not a case of me trying to build up any sense of false hope or disguise to the players that they aren’t in great form, because they are. We can’t guarantee anything on Saturday but we’re very aware of the results at home and the only way we can put that right is by performing and really focusing on our training processes and the way we want to do things, and producing more and more evidence of that at our home stadium.
On home soil, Rochdale have managed to pick up just one win in 18 games in all competitions this season. The team's last three points at home came way back on the 3rd of October, over four months ago and understandably, supporters are growing rather tired of that record being expanded each time the team play a home game.
TEAM NEWS
Jake Beesley, Stephen Dooley, Jimmy Ryan and Jack Vale all continue to be sidelined for Dale.
Chairman and Director of Rochdale Andrew Kilpatrick has informed his fellow Board members today of his immediate decision to stand down.

We're going to win this by so many goals I can see the efl awarding us 6 points instead of 3.

Just have to guard about being over confident. Long old trek. Nice town hall

The tough games keep on coming. Another good team (I can't say with a good manager as I've never heard of him) clearly capable of scoring goals but they also concede a lot. An away point would be a good result.

Argyle on top but wasting chances again. Fornah redeemed himself after having a few mares, don't think Camara has been at his best, cagey game which we need to step up the pace in. Thought our set pieces are quite lame. If we don't score soon you can see Rochdale getting one.

Awful pitch, Argyle could not control the bounce of the ball off the surface

OK sort of result, didn't fancy us today and would have settled for that big time before the match. Argyle certainly are a different outfit from earlier in the season, three clean sheets in a row but only two goals-stark contrast to the 4-4,4-2,1-5 type of scores that were happening.

Disappointed with the result. We should be winning these sort of games.
