Fleetwood Town News
Simon Grayson took over from Joey Barton who has confirmed he left Fleetwood Town following a bust-up with the club's chairman over transfers. The former Newcastle midfielder was sacked by the Cod Army last month that followed an earlier dispute over the future of Ched Evans.
Simon Grayson has taken charge of four games, drawing 2, losing 1 and the last game beating Doncaster Rovers 3 - 1
“When you go to a football club, you have to get a victory as soon as possible as it just settles everybody down. We did ok against Bristol Rovers, getting a clean sheet and a point, but you want to get a win under your belt.
Sometimes it’s no better than to do it against one of the most in form teams in the country, and one at the top end of the division, so I think all the players took on board what I asked them to do against Bristol Rovers, which they didn’t do as well as we would have liked them to. We refocused on Monday about the way we want to do, and they certainly took that on board and did very well, which was very pleasing. We won’t rest on our laurels; we need to make sure we show the same characteristics as we did on Tuesday against Plymouth.” On the preparation for Saturday
I don’t think we are different to any club really, suffering from the Baltic conditions. We’ve got a 4G pitch at the training ground, so we have been out on that but today was all about the second day recovery. You are out on the grass, in the fresh air, do a bit of work and then get ready for a trip down to Plymouth tomorrow.
Quite a few of the players played 60 to 90 minutes in a Development Squad game against Huddersfield which was good, as they are able to get some game time. It was important to look at them and see what they are all about.
We will train halfway down, to break up the journey, and do some more work when we get down there. As you can imagine, the boys were in good spirits and are buoyant from the result on Tuesday night

Very difficult one against another very good team with again a very good manager. It will be tough.

At least the thug Barton is gone - cant stand him. Grayson must be going for a world record for the amount of clubs managed. As for the match we are neat and tidy. Jephcott is very positive and trying to score worldies- Ennis is so fast and his pace gives us an alternative dimension for attacking in behind. Next goal is critical.....

I missed it. Is it precautionary looking or is he properly injured?

If you tot up all these wins we get against “very good teams”, I’d say you must be more impressed with Argyle than anyone in the history of Argyle social media, Freathy.

I was impressed with Moore today he created alot and on a different day we would have put the ball in the back of the net thankfully one of his passes or shots deflected off the fleetwood defender. Camara put in a good shift. He is some player i like his type of midfielder who wins the ball and starts of an attacking opportunity and never stops battling at both ends of the pitch. Hope his knock isnt serious and he was taken off as a precaution.
cooper needs to work on his kicking as its wayward at times but he made some good saves today. Ennis battled hard unlucky not to have scored same with Hardie.
