The mass vaccination roll out is, as many predicted, turning into a gargantuan cluster f***. Experts are already saying half the population won't be done even by this time next year.

Must be true if ‘experts’ are saying it. Pretty impressive to be an ‘expert’ on something ( a full adult immunisation programme) that’s never ever even been attempted before.

We need to give them a feckin chance, as I said yesterday I saw the vaccine being administered and it wasn't being done by politicians but the Doctors, Nurses and Non medical staff doing a hell of a job in a building which was not built for that purpose, a car park that was way oversubscribed yet they got it done and fair play to them. I'm sure the next one will go better but in the meantime everybody needs to give them a bit time to get it right.

That was always going to be the case, Freathers. Blame MSM for hyping up the arrival of the vaccine. The sheep populas we're led to believe by excited news media that all this would be done and dusted for the spring and we can all go back to banging each others back doors in Central Park in the spring sunshine with our mates, a crate of Tenants Extra with the kids and the family pit-bull in tow.

It takes PhE around 4 months to organise 4 million flu jabs - now, compare with how many Covid vaccinations we need x2, should give anyone with an ounce of common an idea how long it will take.

Good news I suppose is that only around 70% of the population needs vaccination for the virus to practically, but not completely die out in a few months after. After around 70% are jabbed, it will be manageable. it then becomes an annual jab. Just like the flu one.

I can't see he has much choice really, VG. People are going to do what they feel like anyway for the Xmas period, regardless of Doris's instructions! Who's going to police a near on impossible situation? Of course, there will be people caught and fined, but only a fraction compared to countless, thoughtless wankers who feel they're above any law and order.

Unfortunately, I think we'll pay the price mid January, early Feb.

This Christmas will be like no other that has gone before it, the vast majority of folk will abide by the rules and will understand the consequences. The minority will not though and as you say, mid January/early February could see the fall-out of actions undertook.

No faffing around from the Welsh though.

Went for a pub lunch yesterday, made a change to get out for a pint and a nice bit of scoff.

I’d say the majority of people I’ve spoken to about it, plan to break the rules in some capacity or another. The majority of that rule breaking being plans to see family over Xmas that extends over and above to 3 bubble rule. One fella couldn’t grasp the fact that meeting his two brothers on Xmas eve ( 3 bubbles ) meant he couldn’t (if he was staying within the law) see his mum on Xmas Day.

Wales are to make it law rather than guidance on two households gathering for Christmas. Scotland recommending people only meet on the day and no overnight stays.

Sorted for most folk I think, there will be clusters of 5G, Gates Chip, Anti-Vaxxer, Anti Mask morons keeping it going but the herd will be safe.

Wales can make it all the law they want, how can it be policed? the problem is that the braindead masses will be gathering in homes regardless of any rules, laws or guidence.

A more cynical individual might just be considering that whilst the Astrazeneca vaccine was declared "safe and robust" on the 8th December that subsequent delayed "authorisation" and then combined with an announcement of a Brexit deal this weekend is just what the doctor ordered to boost Johnsons abject unpopularity

It's impossible to legislate for every eventuality but I'd hope some discretion will be shown to these exceptional circumstances.

I had a flu jab too, couple weeks ago. First ever one.

As for the covid vaccine/s, no idea. Springtime would be my guess now, not the end of 2021.

I wonder when data will come in telling us if the vaccine/s are working well ?.

Oxford/AstraZeneca are teaming up with the Ruskies and their Sputnik V vaccine, so that should be interesting to see what research-results they find.

Did any of you watch the covid-19 vaccine documentary on the beeb the other night, very interesting too. Oxford were on the case early doors.
