| A total Remainer rag full of lies I wouldn't wipe my virtual arse on it. Trouble is when we do have the lockdown you are clamouring for you will be the first one whining about the amount of businesses going bust. Whilst I can't help but agree some people don't give a fook it's hard to stop transmission when everybody is at work and school. The reason we will have to have a lockdown is because the hospitals have been cut back for decades not that ive seen anyone being that bothered about it until now. |

| Great news that it’s been approved. I see they are apparently delaying the 2nd dose until 12weeks after the first, so as to get a larger number of people with some level of protection immunised with the first dose.
Looks like the South East could face the catastrophic situation they had in Northern Italy in April, whereby people were literally being sent home ( to die) because no hospital beds were available.
Harve is right in that this Oxford jab is potentially a game changer though. If the rollout mirrors the trials, not one person who had the actual vaccine was hospitalised. It may not have the efficacy of the Moderna or Pfizer jab, but if it neutralises the vast majority of hospitalisations, then that is a proper triumph. That is basically what this is all about. We can cope with a virus that may make a lot of people ill, but doesn’t kill them. |

| Not sure I’m right here, but, is the Ox/Astra vaccine 90% effective after two doses? Given the flu jab has an efficacy of around 40%, I’d say that’s a huge success, and, as above, a game changer.

| Unscrupulous greedy holiday firms chancing their arm with a sudden influx of holiday adverts. FFS. Obviously nothing to do with recent vaccine news!
You’d be mad to listen to these greedy cnuts and part with your money. Stay home. Go abroad in 2022 so we have time to get back on our feet. |

I must admit I’ve booked an October trip but that’s a long way off. It’s a calculated risk but because of the current uncertainty I’ve saved a packet with BA Holidays. As you say though, Ryanair are a predictable money grabbing disgrace. That tv ad is jaw dropping....”Vaccines are coming!!!” “Jab & Go!!” feck off you scummy fleabag gutter Airline. |

| There's a massive difference between booking a trip to a Euro resort to actual world travel in the next twelve months. I'm lucky enough to he able to away on much longer trips now but we have just written off travelling next year because although we may be able to get a jab by the spring I don't fancy travelling in a country where you may be viewed as a threat to locals health and their health services. It will take a long time for confidence to return and this will have a bigger effect on travel than the wants of an Irish billionaire. Our plan is to invest any money we would have spent travelling this year in our business over here, get stuck right into work and plan a massive trip for early 2022. I'm massively looking forward to it. |

| Spurs V Fulham now called off due to Covid.
The fixture list through the leagues is starting to look a bit chaotic.
Stop it now or carry on and see how it pans out? |

| Some interesting comments at the press conference, 'unlicensed' 'emergency''when described vaccine.
Don't play anything before may or after October next year.
Desperation is setting in, it is obvious. |

| Desperate sums it all up quite well. Shame old Harvey Hindsight couldn't have warned us all where we we going wrong when it mattered and not after the event. How was Nottingham btw? |

| I give it two weeks until we are in tier four. All the areas now tier 3 have been chock a block all over Christmas with people from tier 4 and the damage has been done. I personally think we could have avoided the lockdown we are now going to have if the government had said from the start that it's illegal to travel out of your home postcode and actually fookin enforce it. They are still "asking" people not to travel outside of tier four areas. I can get fined £1000 for littering, same if I don't pick up after a dog, if I poach a Salmon not only can they fine me the obligatory £1000 but they can confiscate the fookin vehicle I drove to the river in! Illegally tip some roofing tiles could cost you £5000 and if you're a business fines of £50k aren't uncommon why are they so fookin soft on Covid breaches? |

| Totally agree Ears, that's my main beef with the governments covid handling, the lack of enforcement on chancers, deniers etc, only takes a few bad eggs to spoil the good work of a whole community. |

| At least it looks like the English Virus, the mutant strain, is not vaccine resistant
I see the Spanish are starting a database of Vaccine refusers, why? Shirly Bill Gates can just scan everybody from his 5G tower and check the chip?

| Sobering read in the Guardian today, I thought Harve said it was the pissed up Boris who left us unprepared and without PPE/Ventilators - seems the EU mob were down the pub all the time...
''It was a moment of chilling clarity. On 26 February, with the numbers of Italians known to be infected by coronavirus tripling every 48 hours, the country’s prime minister, Giuseppe Conte, appealed to fellow EU member states for help.
His hospitals were overwhelmed. Italian doctors and nurses had run out of the masks, gloves and aprons they needed to keep themselves safe, and medics were being forced to play God with the lives of the critically-ill due to an acute lack of ventilators.
An urgent message was passed from Rome to the European commission’s Berlaymont headquarters in Brussels. The specifications of Italy’s needs were uploaded into the EU’s Common Emergency Communication and Information System (CECIS).
But what happened next came as a shock. The distress call was met with silence.
“No member state responded to Italy’s request and to the commission’s call for help,” said Janez Lenarčič, the European commissioner responsible for crisis management. “Which meant that not only is Italy not prepared … Nobody is prepared … The lack of response to the Italian request was not so much a lack of solidarity. It was a lack of equipment.” |
