Alex Palmer, the Pilgrims’ loanee goalkeeper of 2019/20, has been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Motors League Two Fans’ Player of the Year Award.

Palmer, 24, kept 14 clean sheets in goal as Ryan Lowe’s Greens won automatic promotion from Sky Bet League Two last time out.

Alex, who returned to parent club West Bromwich Albion in the summer, is shortlisted alongside former Northampton Town defender Charlie Goode, former Swindon Town striker Eoin Doyle, Crewe duo Harry Pickering and Perry Ng, and Forest Green Rovers midfielder Ebou Adams.

The winner of the award is decided by supporter votes. Voting is now open, and runs until 8am on Friday, 21 August.

Alex Palmer has been voted the League Two PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Year for 2019/20 by football fans across the country.

In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the goalkeeper was victorious after proving an instrumental figure in Argyle’s promotion to Sky Bet League One. The stopper kept an impressive 14 clean sheets in 2019/20.

- Ebou Adams, Forest Green - 20%

- Harry Pickering, Crewe Alexandra - 20%

- Perry Ng, Crewe Alexandra - 19%

- Eoin Doyle, Swindon Town - 10%

- Charlie Goode, Northampton Town - 10%
