| Argyle to face a monumental task to avoid relegation predicts Peterborough United
PLYMOUTH ARGYLE: Argyle’s speedy return to League One has been accompanied by more bad news than good news on the playing front. Key players have already been lost to Posh (George Cooper) and Bolton (Antoni Sarcevic) and up-and-coming manager Ryan Lowe is continually linked to higher-profile jobs. Former Posh loanee Scott Wootton (pictured) is one of a handful of experienced players to have accepted a new deal at Home Park, but the squad is currently looking very thin. Verdict: Big survival battle.

| peterborough really dont like us do they lol.
If we bring in the 5-6 players we need we should be ok and stay up. I wouldn't be suggesting top half of the table though. |

| Can't argue with any of that it's kind of obvious really. I also think we were sent a Covid lifeline as I think we were more likely to end up in playoffs than autos and we know what a lottery that is. My prediction is a very sustainable relegation unless funds are made available to Lowe to have a competitive team and he if doesn't get said funds he will take one of the jobs on offer and who could blame him? |

O, to put it another way, we are half a team short of being a mid table team!
A fair assumption given that the current squad are either untried at this level, have been tried and they failed, or are well past their best-before date.

| Things are looking shite, the terrible signing of a reserve keeper out of the fourth division who comes with baggage players leaving, an untried keeper replacing a very good one plus noises about no money from the owner yep i say relegation looks a fair shout just like the dark days of the Brentmare, same old argo happy to be crap. |

[/quote] we only have 18 players including 1st year pros so natural 5-6 is need so we have a competitive squad. What i do accept is that it will be a tough season and staying up is the number one goal even with mid table being predicted if we get the right signings. |

| The goalie situation as it stands is disappointing, on the other hand having Hardie for a season without a return clause is good news. Too early by far to be pessimistic. |

| Does look like were down. Hopefully well be in some sort of shape to rebuild for a 2021/22 L2 promotion campaign. |

Yeah... The usual few who can't see any good, anywhere, at any time. They're so predictable and boring. |

| Or the usual gew that can make an astute judgement on the facts available at the time. Quite simply at this point in time the squad is undeniably weaker than last seasons and that squad apart from a few golden spells didn't rip the league apart. Obviously if we sign five or six players of lge 1 or CCC standard in the next couple of weeks then I would reassess our prospects and predict a top half finish. |
