| ENGLAND'S struggling football clubs hope to bring crowds back as early as October - but in small numbers. Safety officers and 'Covid 19' officials at clubs are in talks about a plan that would see 25 per cent capacity crowds with social distancing. he push is mainly coming from the EFL and would help out smaller clubs who face no gate money for months. Many League One and Two sides - plus the National League - operate at much less than full capacity and this would fit perfectly. In the bottom divisions it would see a quarter of the full capacity being allowed in and this would create revenue. A couple of Championship clubs would also be keen. The likes of Wigan have a quarter of their home capacity as season ticket holders. However the better-supported clubs may be wary of selecting a small section of their fan base over others. Premier League clubs would have the option of this scheme too, but it may be too difficult to arrange at major venues - and fail to get backing. This idea has also been discussed in Scotland where many of their senior clubs attract small clubs anyway. Fears that crowds would not be allowed back until next year have been rife for some time, but this may be a small sign of hope. And France are also looking at ways of opening their doors in supporters although they are ahead of Britain in the virus wave. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Might see some leverage in England especially how these so called big clubs like Wigan never even filled 25 per cent capacity even before this 'virus'. To be honest watching in grounds with 25 capacity would be a farmyard animals dream. PASOTI would approve though as would James Brent.

| Home Park's current capacity is cited at 18,200
25% of that is 4550
We have more season ticket holders than that.

| Some will miss out for sure, ifollow on screen in the hospitality suites perhaps, ifollow season tickets maybe, we need a bit of lateral thinking to get a revenue stream of sorts |

With all the uncertainty I doubt there’d be anything like that number signing up for the coming season, so could be a goer with 25% capacity. |

| Can hardly see Hallett being happy with this scenario. The ramifications of Covid are really hitting home. Better question is now will the Club survive at all. |

| So on Rickler's figures and those quoted in the financial report, the Club's income would be down 30%. Elsewhere Sunderland co-owner says 5-10 clubs may go bust without further Govt support
No wonder Clubs are talking about a wage cap. |

Better question is now will the Club survive at all. Of course we will. In some form or other. |

Better question is now will the Club survive at all. SH won't want to lose all the money he's pumped in. But may well say enough is enough and look for a buyer who'll give him something. Better to lose £5 million than £10 million. But then, I expect nearly every Club in the EFL is "open to offers" atm |

But then, I expect nearly every Club in the EFL is "open to offers" atm Absolutely no chance of a buyer of any club currently except the likes of Jimmy the Shyster who'd see an opportunity doubtless Agree Hallett wont want to take a hit but as I said yesterday the big boys (and he is one) let the winners run and cut the losers short. His accountants will be crunching the numbers am sure |

| If Hallett hadn't stepped in when he did I have little doubt it would have been the 2nd administration and goodnight vienna.
How anyone on farmyard animal chat or PASOTI can claim that Brent saved the club and left it in a sustainable position needs their head examining.
What was it 2 million pumped in straight away ? just to steady the ship after all those years of austerity. |

| Plymouth Argyle lost £1.4million in the six months leading up to June 2019, according to a release of club accounts. The reason for the loss in money is because the costs still outstrip the income that the club gets. That is according to director Paul Berne, who went into more detail about why that was the case.He told the club’s official website: “Put simply, when we add up our income (which comes from tickets, cup runs, transfer income, hospitality, the football authorities, and things like sponsorships), we are spending more on a combination of stadium upkeep, costs of running each matchday and, of course, the player wages.”However some factors that led to such a loss were a one off, another point Berne was keen to stress.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Director of football Neil Dewsnip believes it could be September before Plymouth Argyle return to EFL action.
Dewsnip also admitted it was probable that games would be played behind closed doors to begin with.
However, he hoped that supporters would be able to attend matches across the country before too long, to ease the financial burden on cash-starved clubs. |

| Games behind closed doors is worse financially than no games at all.
Cutting the Govt support available through the furlough may well finish of a few clubs before the season restarts. |

| Factor in that a large proportion of our season ticket holders are pensioners and a number of them will have succumbed to the virus or are now unwilling to go back on health advice. |
