| Is there going to be no pitch awards for the normal fans to see?
TICKETS are now on general sale for the end of season event at Home Park, a spectacular opportunity to celebrate all things Green.
The End of Season extravaganza will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 and tickets are priced at £40+VAT for Pioneer members and £50+VAT to non-members.
Dress code is black tie and the evening will see the presentation of various Pilgrim awards, including the Supporters’ Player of the Year, Supporters’ Young Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Manager’s Player of the Year, Sponsors Award and the prize for Outstanding Contribution. |

| Sounds like expensive corporate bollocks to me, may not have the same appeal if Argo miss out on promotion. |

| Looks like a pure money grabbing exercise by the Club-a bunch of made up awards and a chance for some social inadequates to hob nob with their heroes. Take this and the cashless plans and you could be lead to believe Argyle are starting to see them as the Man Utd of the South.
Perhaps it's the American view that Sport=business=chance to make big bucks. |

| The whole Player Awards thing is getting done to death these days. Half a dozen awards, with a couple almost certain to go to players who aren't even with the club for more than a few months. In fact, several recent winners have chosen to leave the Club after winning Player of the Season-one without even telling the Club that he wasn't coming back! With their scoring Record, Hardie & Jephcott must already be in contention for awards, despite only being with the first team squad for a few weeks!
I'm sure the players think the whole thing is ridiculous-can't see anyone proudly telling their grandkids:
"Yes that's the Players Player of the Year award I won when I couldn't get near the First team & spent a season on loan in the Fourth Division." |
