ALL of us at Home Park are very saddened to hear of the passing of former Argyle coach Micky Hill.
Joining Argyle as a coach in 1970, Micky spent the next 12 years as a Pilgrim and a well-respected professional, who worked with a number of Pilgrim managers, including the likes of Bobby Saxton and Tony Waiters.
After working as a youth coach, Micky was deployed as chief scout in Lancashire by manager Tony Waiters, due to his connections with the Blackburn area.
His friendship with Waiters led to them running a marathon that helped raise funds for a new club minibus, which Micky used to drive the youth team to tournaments across Europe.
In recent years, Micky was a founding member of the Football Cafe, a hugely popular support group that uses football to support people living with dementia.
The deepest condolences from all of us at Argyle goes out to Micky's family and friends.
