WE take our latest look at the Pilgrims out on loan from Home Park and how they fared over the busy Christmas Period
Alex Fletcher
It has been an excellent few weeks for Alex Fletcher at Tiverton Town, banging in the goals that have helped lift Tivvy to the top of the Southern Premier League table. He started with one in the 5-1 defeat of Dorchester Town.
In a thrilling Boxing Day draw with Truro, Fletch opened the scoring with a sumptuous volley and after the White Tigers equalised, he notched again with a header as the game eventually finished 3-3. There was even more drama on New Year’s Day, when Fletch scored the injury-time winner as Tivvy recovered from 2-0 down to defeat Taunton Town.
Michael Peck
The versatile Michael Peck came on as a substitute against Dorchester, at Truro on Boxing Day and also against Taunton. Pecky did get a starting berth in the 0-0 draw at Hayes & Yeading on Saturday and repaid Tivvy with a man of the match performance.
Luke Jephcott
In a compelling title race, Truro are lodged just a point behind Tivvy in the league table but will have to mount their challenge without the services of Luke Jephcott, who returned from his loan spell in Cornwall to score twice in Argyle’s Sky Bet League Two win at Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Prior to his Home Park return, Jephcott featured for Truro in the 3-3 draw with Tiverton and also the narrow defeat to Weston-super-Mare on New Year’s Day.
Ryan Law
It has also been a busy Christmas for Ryan Law, who played all games for Truro, against Tivvy and Weston, plus the 4-0 win over Met Police on Saturday.
Klaidi Lolos & Tom Purrington
At the wrong end of the Southern League table, Dorchester Town suffered defeats to Tiverton, Poole Town and Beaconsfield Town. The only bright spot was a New Year’s Day draw with Blackfield & Langley. Klaidi Lolos did score against Tivvy and Tom played in the game as well, but both were substituted in the loss to Poole.
Klaidi came on as a sub against Blackfield & Langley in what proved to be his last appearance for Dorchester as his loan spell expired with the Magpies. Tom played the full 90 minutes but was not involved against Beaconsfield.
Ashley Smith-Brown
There was no first-team football over the Christmas period for Ash at Oldham Athletic.
