If Bungo (or Slasher as he was affectionately known as in the plod) carries on at his rate, he'll have the plod head hunting back again laugh

I see on PASOTI the associated thread has turned into a Bent ass kissing excercise. Nool even uses it as an excuse to make veiled crtitcism of the trust once again.

Wanker.

I suppose we'll never know.

We won't know, no.

But as has been amply proven, there was a very nice seven figure personal payday to be had by someone. I'm pretty sure someone other than Brent Buttivant or Heaney would have come in.

As the years go on I'll probably mellow as far as Brent's concerned I reckon. He saw a gilt-edged money making opportunity and grabbed it. I didn't like it because it was clear PAFC wasn't his main concern. But the byproduct I suppose is that the club survived.

There is also absolutely no doubt at all though that a massive amount of the vitriol Brent has received down the years, is down to his relationship with Newell. Of all Brents decision making in the last 8 years, associating himself with the most disliked Argyle fan around, was a real own-goal.

He knew he needed the likes of the Windsor Boys onside, to cheerlead his every whim and discredit/sideline any warning voices. Same with the local rag.The culture of 'being someone' in return for devious services rendered was born and lives on today. The classic was Nool claiming that a taller grandstand as in the trust led plans, would block his mum's view of the sea laugh

I think with some people still cutting Brent some slack after quite obviously trying to use the club to his own profit just goes to prove how much a good proportion of the population love a bit of servility. It goes from local councillors right up to the MPs and PM, "it could always be worse, if you'm so clever why don't you do it? More Lube Sir?"
Brent was and is a proper nasty money grabbing little cnut.

Absolutely.

Its worse in the South West than other areas of the country because feudalism is so engrained in the culture.

Must be some magical house his mum has in Illogan that's able to see both HP and the sea and hear the dock yard siren, all from over 50 miles away Pig

I see the dimwit couldn't even get the date the club was "officially saved" right which is the day after tomorrow, 8 years on form when the club was given the golden share which enabled it to exit admin. Thanks to Graham Clark to for handing Nools arse to him yet again.

Maybe thats why the thread is only a single page

Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't him and the capitalist Tory union man who tempted Brent in the 1st place with the offer of a lucrative land grab on the table.

Don't fink those two are that aware. He merely saw their ambition and what useful idiots they could be to him. PCC were already hooked by the shyster and he knew how easy the city was.Has he 'developed' anything yet ? All he had to do was take their money and utilise his experience of property/land acquisition to feather his own nest.

No it was all plotted in the offices of PCC. He was already in discussion about Pavillions, Ice Rink and Millbay then the golden opportunity of a free ice rink site appeared and from that day it was a foregone conclusion.
That's aimed at Bob not Tring should have quoted.

Was more a light hearted thought Iggy that I wouldn't put anything past them. From when Plebby had this so called list of contacts of local businessmen that he was allegedly calling to find someone. Wasn't that the 1st contact anyone related to the club had with Brent?
This is a man after all who decked his kid out head to toe in green and white and wheeled him into the meeting to try and guilt trip speccy in.

Correct. PCC had indentified Brent as some visionary developer who was going to finish what Abercrombie started. Everyone else was locked out, the terms he was getting the club on meant nobody could compete not paying rent or rates for 2 years, effectively having the club bought for him via the sale back of Home Park, less the land he was going to build his ice rink on.

Nobody serious is going to be put off by Ian Newell on the internet, Nool was simply aware of what was going on and hitched himself to the winning horse. Brent for his part saw they could be useful idiots for not very much and found the idea of having his own militia very appealing.

PCC got for their part someone happy to inactively squat on the land handed to him and milk the council for grants. God knows what he's cost the football club and council.

Yet a dwindling band of slow witted simpletons on Pasoti still laud him as some sort of hero

Panned out well for the council too by getting in bed with him (NOT) cost them £2 million sheets and the Pavilions and their still no closer to getting an ice crapshack.

Is it fair to say he's still never laid a brick when its solely been down to him ??
It was quite comical I thought when GOS hinted that HHP was being cleared for the arrival of the ice shack doubtless around 2030
Brent actually building something....feck off

Jimmy has a first class honours degree in Bankruptcy Administrations and closures with a speciality in obtaining grants from dim witted councillors.
What happened to that Romanian Farm grant he shafted the EU for lol  ??
220,000 Euros or thereabouts from memory. You gotta wonder how he's never done a stretch  scratch scratch

I think the most blatant example of this is his shameful treatment of Oldway Mansions, which he got handed off the back of promising to build a hotel and new houses. What actually happened is he did feck all with it and threatened to set his lawyers on torbay council when they refused to hand over any more money on perfectly reasonable basis he blatantly hadn't done anything.

He wanted to have it built for him to profit from, only he wanted someone else to pay for it.
It was on the news the other night, a local interest group have now put in for lottery funding to kick start a small bit of restoration.

Shock horror - I've just found something Brent has actually built. The Akkeron website has been updated and is described as an investment and development company.
