| Doesn't mention what the warning was for (at the Northampton game), but there were reports of homophobic chanting, from Argyle fans, at a Northampton fan wearing a pink top (the complaint was made by an Argyle fan). [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]NEARLY 5,500 supporters have travelled to watch our Sky Bet League Two games so far this season: 1,500-plus at Crewe; 800 on a Tuesday night in Crawley; more than 1,000 a game on average. Phenomenal. That incredible backing is so appreciated by Ryan Lowe and the team, who are proud to walk out to be greeted by a sea of green and to experience the passion of the Green Army from kick-off to full-time. Sometimes, though, that passion spills over into unacceptable areas. Sometimes, the behaviour of a tiny minority tarnishes the great reputation, built up over many years, of the majority. We have said it before, but to be absolutely clear, let us repeat – Plymouth Argyle is a community-focused, values-driven organisation, whose stated aim is to make attending football matches as inclusive and enjoyable as possible for all members of society. We have a desire and a duty to eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimization based on age; disability; gender reassignment; pregnancy and maternity; marriage and civil partnership; race; religion and belief; gender; and sexual orientation. Therefore, we will take the strongest possible action against anyone behaving discriminatorily, including Home Park banning orders and liaising with the Police to ensure that the law is upheld. That could result is criminal prosecution under the Football (Offences) Act 1991 or Criminal Justice Act 2003, which specifically cover discriminatory behaviour. This week, we received a formal warning from the Football Association following their investigation into the behaviour of a very small number who travelled to our game at Northampton Town. If further such reports at other matches are substantiated, the FA will consider disciplinary action. We do not want that. Much more importantly, we do not want the good name of Plymouth Argyle to be dragged down by those claiming to support the club. The Green Army will again be out in force for Saturday’s trip to Mansfield Town, and we thank you for that support. Be loud. Be proud. Be the 12th man. |

| We are in the 21st century... Do we really need this sort of thinking vocalized at football matches? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Good.
Anyone who thinks homophobic chanting is acceptable anytime, anyplace, anywhere can feck right off.
And the same goes for any other type of discrimination. |

Twitter is the one you want with the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] tag as it can't be removed like pasoti can. |

And the same goes for any other type of discrimination. I agree with the sentiment 100% what I don't agree with is blaming the whole club, if as its been claimed it was a small number of fans why weren't those fans pulled out of the crowd and charged? As usual I suspect the stewards are more worried about fans standing than homophobic chanting. |

Yep and it goes to all his followers, I've been blocked with all my twitter accounts now but I've thoroughly enjoyed pointing out Porkies lies on the in the past. |

When you have such a chequered history as Internet Ian, your indiscretions will always catch up with you. What an embarrassment Newell is to the club. Has Hallett seen this? |

He can’t even try to claim he’s been the victim of a hack. The info is all out there and freely available to any club official who has the morals to look. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If argyle are serious about rooting out and banning bigots, then surely this must be acted on and a life ban from Homepark handed out to Newell. |

| Ironically.. On this page: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Newell posts the link below regarding a Saints fan being banned for saying something homophobic that can almost be defined as 'banter' as compared to what Nool himself said: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]"Does your boyfriend know you're here" earned the Saints fan a three year footballing ban. Even more ironically.. The fan, just like Nool, was affiliated with his club. He had the decency to resign. Comparing the two comments - what price Nool's slur? |

| Yes the # PAFC with his homophobic image is the one to use on twitter....it will sit there for all to see. Any retweet and it hits 1000's within seconds Bungo Hallett and the rest of the top brass cant claim this is between argumental fans groups when at the same time giving out written warning statements |

| You also can't censor it on twitter. Pasoti will remove it in seconds, emailing the club they can ignore it if they wish. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which is viewed by thousands it can't be ignored. |

Sadly TGWU I think that the upstairs, downstairs vibe instigated by Brent has been continued by Hallett. There is a massive difference between fans on terraces doing anything and the scum in the directors box doing anything. |

Hoisted by their own petard! Not really.. Jon Back is Nools friend and will just say he missed seeing it. The club isn't going to do anything unless somebody officially complains. Bitching here won't achieve anything. I doubt that tweeting will have much effect - has anybody done something on twitter yet? If not, it's certainly not going to have any effect at all. If you want to see any sort of action taken against Newell, the club has to be put on the spot. PAFC needs to show its actions are as loud as its words. Writing a non abusive letter of complaint to club officials is the only way. The more people that write.. The more likely action will be taken. Do it. |
