Starting at this Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Oldham Athletic, we are opening Home Park on the morning of the match so that the Green Army can begin their build-up to the game even earlier.

The Devonport end will be open from 11am to allow supporters to meet, enjoy each other’s company, get a drink and something to eat, enjoy pre-match entertainment, watch the early TV game, share thoughts about the match against the Latics, and generally soak up the pre-match vibe.


There will be games for the children and – as an opening-day special – all food and drink in the Family Fan Zone will be half-price.

Admission is free but limited to the first 250 applicants, who need to be a Season-Ticket or Flexi-Ticket Holder; a Club Argyle Member; 1886 Member; or Big Green Lottery subscriber.

Sounds wonderful, a great opportunity to get ripped off by the clubs catering whilst standing in a drafty concourse cricking your neck staring at a tiny screen.

Why cant they just say "we are opening a little earlier for you to grab a couple of extra pints and watch the football" ?
