| They may be without a manager right now, but Plymouth Argyle have been installed as the early favourites to be crowned League Two champions in 2019/20 with leading bookmakers Sky Bet. The Pilgrims were relegated on the final day of the League One season despite a 4-2 win against Scunthorpe United. That consigned the Iron to relegation, but victory for Southend United over Sunderland meant that Argyle also joined Scunthorpe in going down to the fourth tier. Scunthorpe are priced joint-third at 10-1, with Sky Bet , along with Mansfield Town, while Argyle lead the betting with odds of 8-1. Bradford City are the second favourites (9-1) It is the Erald ater all, so don't get too excited. |

| All depends on who comes in. Don't think we should be too arrogant and think we are going right back up |

| Depends on who they give the job to. If its yer typical lower league journeyman like Cotterill then I agree with Freathy, mid table obscurity beckons |

| How the hell can we be favourites for automatic promotion.....no manager....half a team....top players who haven't as yet accepted new contracts.....some maybe moving on or at least talking to other clubs....such talk is just setting us up for a very big fall.....relegation might have left deep scars.....and bringing in quality replacement will be difficult in the basement league....could be big trouble ahead.
The only winner ironically out of this mess might be Derek Adams....who could end up getting a more secure job...more money....bigger cash pot for new players....and at a higher level....who said life isn't fair....remember this is football not real life. |

| To seriously try and get promotion, the board need to make a statement of intent, appoint a progressive manager and fund him to bring in appropriate players who are willing and able to play expressive attacking football. Sadly I cannot see any of that happening under the current management regime and the lack of ambition that permeates the club. |

It is the Erald ater all, so don't get too excited. I am not expecting promotion next season. The new manager, whoever that ends up being, will have much work to do from whenever they are appointed up to the last day of the 2019-20 season, going up at the first attempt will be a hard call/shout. He will have to bring in players to work with what he has inherited and it is highly likely that he will be without the services of Lammy and Carey, who will be off to pastures new no doubt. I would think a 16th to 20th finishing spot could be about right. |
