1/. It has been a difficult few days, culminating in Derek and Paul's departure. It has been difficult because they have been such an important part of the club for so long. Everyone knows about Wottsy's long career as a player and how it was marked by passion and commitment.

2/. Those qualities continued in Paul’s career as coach and, eventually, assistant manager. We thank him.

3/. I also thank Derek, whom I've got to know in the last few years. It's been a great run, that created everlasting memories, with a Wembley appearance, a successful trip to Anfield, a promotion and many other highlights (Peter Hartley, anyone?).

4/.Above all though, we all at the club have great respect for Derek as a person. He has been a kind and energetic force for good at Argyle, every day inspiring everyone to be better.

5/. It is now time to look forward. At the moment, while beginning to prep for next season, we are focused on Saturday's game. Home Park will be full, and fully behind the lads. Our fate is not in our hands, but we will all do our best to give us the win we need. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Sunderland losing last night puts a huge spanner in the works and they will sort of have nothing to play for now as they are in the POs and could rest players for the two legs, regardless of who they end up playing.

They will go to a Southend side who will probably will be up for the game. Bradford against AFC will be too close to call, as will Shrewsbury against Walsall.

It's  going to be a very tense evening on Saturday, certainly not one for the faint hearted. What will be, will be.
