| Word reached me tonight that Steve passed away today.
He was one of the Good Guys.
Argyleworld is a little bit worse for his passing.
Respect, fella, and thanks. |

| I didn't know Steve personally but a good friend did extremely well and put a lovely piece up on facebook last night.
He sounds like one of the good guys and for him, his friends and his family my deepest respect.
RIP Pilgrim. |

Respect, fella, and thanks. I knew Steve, he formed PASTA. I joined him and Dave Pay not that long after they formed the group. He was a good lad, we used to play football against rival fans and one memorable game was at Colchester for the first game of the season. We thought to ourselves this lot look good, we found out after that we had played a Diadorra League side. RIP Steve. |

RIP Steve. I did the odd article for ROTG when Steve and Dave were running it. Steve will be a great loss to so many Argyle fans who knew him. |

| RIP Steve Nicholson.
I subscribed to RoTG for several years and then it just stopped being printed.. I met Blake once but never did meet Steve.
I think I'm right in saying it wasn't connected to the website of the same name at all? Wasn't the website the original "nest of vipers"? It was a good laugh, I remember that much! |

No you're mistaken, it was the "Cesspit of Bile" IIRC. They used to call PASOTI "the beards". Steve posted as Late Lark. Who remembers "Survival of the fastest" which was the network of fanzines sites seasonal reviews which I think he did? I always remember gems along the lines of "Hodges finally spotted the gap in the pitch where other teams employ a midfield" and the description of Mickey Evans by Bristol Rovers fans as "an overweight asthmatic striker, who by his own admission didn't score many goals" |

| Yeah, I always liked RotG, and the messageboards (despite their cruel attacks on those of use who look better with most of our face covered in hair!)
I didn't know the guy, but RotG never took supporting a crap lower league team any more seriously than it needed to be. If Steve was a part of that, he had the right idea. |

RIP Steve. Seem to recall Mansfield used to be a very good side too. Think my debut that season was at Chester a Fortnight later. Happy days |

| Met Steve a few times when Northern branch mobbed up with PASTA for football. Turning up at WBA expecting a 5 a side kick about to be met by fully kitted set of 11 a side youngsters was part for course.
RIP Steve.
The RotG website was fun mainly for the fans of other teams turning up, although Bolton's invasions were strange. Still chat with a lot of those guys on their own cesspit of bile keeping up with news to talk to in-laws about. |

Happy days Pretty sure I played for Argyle fans against Mansfield up at Staddy Heights one season. We won, but I got the impression that they might have been better than us, if they weren't in the middle of a 4-day stag party bender. |
