Now, I'm certainly no aficionado of movie scores and wouldn't pretend other wise - but, this Hans Zimmer geezer!
My personal favourites are of course the inevitable 'Elysium, Honor Him & Now We Are Free' from the Gladiator movie. After that I, may I recommend the soundtrack from ' The Day After Tomorrow' If you have a decent sound set-up, may I suggest upping the base - it's a wonderful piece and only really appreciated at 'VOLUME', imho.

Hans is certainly a rare talent, but these days - and for some time - its been more "TeamHans" than Hans the solo composer.
He has a studio of talented, and up and coming composer types who work with him. He's given many people a break and many owe their start to him. ...and by all accounts, he is a good guy!
My wife has worked with him "and his people" and only has good things to say...

He's of Swiss desent his father was independently wealthy after patenting the Zimmer frame.
