| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Yes, according to the Erald "Plymouth Argyle's Freddie Ladapo is one of the top strikers in England", I expect Pep, Klopp or even Mourino will be getting hold of Dereks mobile number after reading that. |

From memory he missed a couple of chances that were possibilities on Saturday and buried the other two, which is a pretty good conversion rate for any striker-all the best ones get into position miss a few chances and that would include people like Tynan and Mariner. He's certainly far more confident now [naturally enough i suppose] than at the start of the season and Fleetwood had no idea how to handle him-his upper body strength created his first goal on Saturday, knocked the centre half off the ball like a rag doll. Rather an exaggeration to say he's one of the top strikers in England but he's sure making a few people eat a bit of humble pie at the moment and that would include myself. Good on him,Argyle would be in very dire straits indeed without his contribution. |

| Spot on Greenskin, we'd be rock bottom 10 points adrift without him. |

| Carries on his form until January and he'll be gone for sure. DA will already be scouring the job centres and physios rooms for a replacement. |

Not disputing that ..but if he would have taken the chances his missed all season Who knows where we could have been swings & roundabouts and all that as they say |

| Strange that these days a ''20 goal striker'' is top of the tree but when King TT was playing it was a ''30 goal striker''. I've always wondered why King TT was never picked up by a big club? |

He was a very good lower leagues goal poacher and if he had never been an argyle player we probably wouldn't really have noticed him. You're right about the 30 goal a season striker though. Used to be quite a few but not these days |

Used to be quite a few but not these days Tommy was released by Bob Paisley at Liverpool because he thought he lacked pace to play at the top level but i did read somewhere [it may have been in an interview with John Aldridge, who Argyle had the opportunity of signing but turned it down] that Paisley later regretted that decision.I always thought that Tynan could have played in the first division in the right team, had an uncanny knack of being in the right place at the right time too often to be a coincidence and not that bad a player outside the penalty area either. |

Nahhh Keep him til the summer then offer him a one year contract on the same wages. Cue the Aviva's bleating, ' You can't keep a player who doesn't want to be here. Feck him and move on'. |

| He's such a long time ago. I remember his shooting was very calm, almost arrogant. He would not have missed most of the one on one chances Ladapo has missed recently. He was what people used to call a greedy player. There were a lot of similar goal poachers at the time. It's a different game now, and not really a better game. |

It's a different game now, and not really a better game. I can't agree with that, the standard and level of technique has never been better, now that we've moved beyond the sterile domination of the early 2010. We're living in the era of the greatest player of all time and many others, just because they don't smoke 40 a day doesn't make it less so. If you meant in terms of personal enjoyment then I do agree with you, but the passing of time has as much to do with that as anythign else. |

| I like what I've seen of Ladapo. Yeah, he'll miss a hatful, but he gets himself in so many good positions that he'll score plenty too. Ultimately, if he was quick, strong and clinical, he'd be playing for someone else. Most players at this level are flawed - that's why they are at this level. |

| FFS, he isn't even the top striker in Devon. Stokely at City is proven over a period of time and the guy at Torquay (Reid?) is knocking them in for a pastime |
