| I can feel the irony now. LOL Quite fitting. If he plays tomorrow, he'll slaughter the Adams Akkeron back ten. |

| Taken from a Pompey forum "And here’s a more detailed account of the likely behaviour of those Spotty Herberts Giles mentions (based on previous visits).
They will land early and get off at Cosham. Walking from the station up a mostly deserted Cosham High Street, they will hole up in the empty Weatherspoons and convince themselves that they have taken over one of our main pubs. They will play up a bit to make sure the police are aware of their presence. The police will arrive, tell them to drink up and escort them on the train to Portsmouth and Southsea station where they will be directed to Weatherspoons [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in Guildhall walk where they can be effortlessly contained.
Around 1pm a group of 30 odd Pompey young bloods will turn up in Guildhall square and head directly towards the pub before the police stop their progress. Plymouth passively watch all this through the pub windows. Cameras roll and the moment passes. This is the only time during the entire day anything is likely to happen. Nothing does.
Back on the Train to Fratton. They don’t manage the triple crown of Weatherspoons for the day as they won’t be allowed anywhere near Fratton Road. As Giles says, they will penguin walk behind their escort down Goldsmith, living the hoolie dream. The steady stream of Portsmouth scarfers, old blokes and parents with kids making their way to the ground barely notice their presence.
During the game, the usual posturing nonsense.
After the game, when they are likely to encounter the largest concentration of home fans. Their spotty teenage fans will obediently form up for the police and walk meekly back down Goldsmith Avenue in total compliance to the wishes of a now bored looking escort consisting of no more than 10 officers. A hint of the march of the penguins may kick in once they get past the Talbot and on reaching the absolute safety of the Station footbridge they will start pavement dancing, bouncing up and down and acting like they are Millwall’s worst nightmare. At which point a slight Malaysian student will push through the middle of them on her way home with an exasperated look on her face.
As a footnote; It would be nice to think that this is when their “Top boy” has a moment of clarity where he realises how utterly tragic he and his mates have made themselves look. Unfortunately, it won’t. But when he gets back home and sheepishly up to his bedroom, he won’t be able to look Frodo Baggins in the eye as Frodo stares sightlessly back at him from the cover of a Green Street DVD (he will have definitely watched Green Street the night before to “get himself in the mood”). Despondently he will sit down on his single bed, accidently letting of the smoke cannister in his back pocket which he didn’t get to use at the match. His mum will be furious.
And in a fortnight’s time, this sorry pantomime will all begin again." |

| 3-0 defeat. Songo’o’s ass to be beaten like a drum as he gets in block after block to keep it under double figures.
Adams to claim after the game that it was our best away performance of the season as we had 12 shots from the halfway line. |

| The Portsmouth manager got backed by his board with the signing of Joe Mason, Adams did not. This rag bag squad of low quality Freebies will get stuffed. |

| Looks like Adams is more interested in playing mind games than winning a football match. "I know best" routine. He's certailny not happy with his former faves. Nothing to do with him of course. Maybe he's going to try and revisit his glory days of Mafeking at Liverpool. |

| Carey on the bench.... hopefully this is the kick up the arse he needs, slightly better news Mason hasn't made their team in the starting XI or the bench |

| Whether or not we squeak anything today you don’t leave your best attacking players on the bench for a league game, especially when you need goals. I guess this is the stubborn mule side of Adams. |
