IT has been a while, and there have been more than a few changes at Home Park over the summer, so we thought you would appreciate this handy little guide to the new season at the Theatre of Greens…

SATURDAY’S Sky Bet League One match against Southend United is the first game to be played at Home Park since Sunday, May 19, when Argyle Ladies were crowned champions of the FA Women's Premier League South West Division 1 – 85 days previously.

THE grandstand side of Home Park will be closed on Saturday and for the entirety of the 2018-19 season.

THE game kicks off at 3pm. However, given the closure of the grandstand, it would help you, and us, if you could please arrive early.

TURNSTILES to the Devonport end, Lyndhurst Road side and Barn Park end all open at 1.30pm.

ADMISSION to the match is by ticket only. Supporters of both sides can pay on the day, but you will need to buy a ticket from the Ticket Office.

PLEASE make sure you sit in the seat that corresponds to the number on your ticket. Anyone found in a seat or an area where they should not be could be ejected from the ground.

SPACE in the club’s Higher Home Park Car-Park is severely restricted and for permit-holders only. There is free car-parking in the Outland Road car-park adjacent to the ground, but this will fill up very early. Street parking in the area is available, but please take care to note local restrictions. Our advice is to use public transport whenever possible.

THE Superstore at Home Park will also be open from 9am on match-day, fully stocked, although we are running a wee bit low on larger sizes of the home shirt.

THE mobile retail unit will be outside the ground by Blocks 5 and 6, and retail outlets in the Devonport and Lyndhurst will open when the ground does.

TO cater for the migration of supporters from the grandstand, additional catering will be open around the remaining three sides of the ground, selling draught lager, soft drinks, crisps and confectionary.

THE award-winning Pilgrim match-day programme, costing £3, will be on sale. For the first time, supporters will be able to buy a copy from the stadium catering kiosks.

NEW digital advertising screens have been installed around the ground. For further information on how to get your business or brand on these, please contact the Commercial Operations team on 01752 302204 or email [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

HOSPITALITY and Match-Day Sponsorship activities are now based in the Life Centre for the majority of matches. For further information, please contact the Commercial Operations team.

OUR special match-day guest, who will perform the 50/50 Lottery half-time draw in from of the Lyndhurst, is Colin Sullivan. Saltash-born Sully, who made 257 appearances and scored seven goals for us between 1968-74, was 16 when he made his Argyle debut in 1968, a year before signing professional. He soon established himself as first-choice left-back and won caps at England youth and Under-23 level. Sullivan was snapped up by Norwich in 1974 and made over 150 appearances. A two-year stint with Cardiff followed and then, after a brief period with Hereford, he moved on to Portsmouth. He stayed at Fratton Park for three years, helping the club win Division Three in 1982-83, before moving to Swansea.

PLEASE note, it is a criminal offence to enter a sports ground whilst drunk and to bring alcohol into the ground. Anyone trying to enter Home Park whilst drunk will be refused entry and anyone found attempting to bring alcohol into the ground will be handed to the police. There is a three-year football banning order linked to these offences.

FANS are asked to be mindful of the Home Park ground regulations and refrain from entering the field of play before, during or after any game. Pitch incursions pose a threat to the safety of players, officials and spectators and will result in the Pilgrims being disciplined by the Football Association. Such incidents have resulted in clubs being charged and subsequently fined up to £200,000 by Regulatory Commissions.

THE following articles must not be brought into the ground: knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Anyone found to be in possession of any of these articles inside the ground could face a criminal prosecution and will receive an immediate and indefinite banning order from Home Park.

Brent has been determined to have cash free turnstiles ever since he took over. One of the main reasons I dislike him. This WILL cause grief at the game today. Should be a few short tempers queueing for ever in the rain. It's tipping down, an old fashioned August day we used to get pre global warming. Glad I'm not going, off to Totters for a birthday bash.
