Bradford City are close to confirming the signing of Anthony O’Connor from Aberdeen, according to the Telegraph and Argus.

The centre-half, who has spent the last two seasons at the club, has reportedly turned down a deal at the club which was offered to him at the end of the season. Burton, Plymouth and Torquay were all interested in the 25-year-old but he chose Bradford City, with the deal expected to be announced today.

It will be the club’s fourth addition to the squad this summer after recently announcing a deal for Bayern Munich’s Thomas Isherwood.

Burton who's crowds rose to 6700 fans through last season from less than half that. They must have a minted chairman I'd expect? Well it seems not in fact he's actively courting investment to aid their promotion push! Seems like a wise man and a real fan of his football club,
Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson would welcome new investment to help sustain their League One promotion bid.

"Robinson is celebrating 40 years with the Brewers and has helped them rise from the old Southern League to the top of the third tier of English football.

He told BBC Radio Derby: "The club is such it might attract investors who say 'wow the Championship is a possibility and I need to get involved'.

"If it's in the best interests of the club then it's something I'd consider."

And he doesn't even expect any building land from the club to put forty years of his life into the project.

'Investors' would mean brent losing his majority shareholding, achieved through minimal, if any investment. He likes 'something for nothing', hence the begging bowl to the GT's for a free bar. SH's loan, to be repaid by the fans for the mankover. Keeping Argiggle, England's most village city club.
