| From Shrewsbury Plymouth have agreed a deal to sign Joe Riley from Shrewsbury. Salford-born Riley started his career at Bolton Wanderers and went on to play for Bury before signing for Shrewsbury on a two-year contract in the summer of 2016. He made a total of 45 starts and 10 substitute appearances for the Shrews and scored three goals. Riley played as a substitute in all three of Shrewsbury’s games in the League One play-offs last month. He came off the bench in the closing seconds of both legs of the semi-final against Charlton Athletic. Riley was also a 73rd minute substitute when Shrewsbury lost 2-1 to Rotherham United in the final at Wembley. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Postey defending shite player policy shock!
"Sunderland want Naismith now but doesn't matter because we have Riley."
Are we playing five a side? Naismith would be a great addition to the squad the Brenties are getting desperate trying to spin another hopeless summer window into good business for Argyle when it's only good business for Brent. |

| You lot would rubbish your own shadows given half a chance....can't you wait until they've played a few games before casting them on the scrap heap.
Derek Adams has assessed these players over a period of time and can see possible potential....he's done it before and succeeded.....ok some haven't lived up to what Adams felt was the promise that they might have...but he is a shrewd football manager and has helped players to perform to their maximum ability.
Just wait an see....depression floats like a black cloud over everything you lot touch....negativity is the way ahead for you lot. |

Why so despondent.....just like a stuck needle...last years crop was ridiculed and they did better than expected, even with injuries and red cards during the early months of last season....Adams is a man manager and he has picked these players and pencilled them into his squad during the previous months....they know that he wanted them and they will respond....he is a planner and if they come good we'll all be cheering them on....even though some of you will be doing that through gritted teeth.....more to come...and I think if he gets those that he wants we might all be surprised. |

Why not up our player of the seasons wages to try and keep him instead of signing three cheap replacements hoping one will come good? Also name me one other team that has adopted our almost complete squad rebuild plan? The answer is no one as its mental to expect it to work year after year. Year on year progress usually involves cutting the dead wood and improving quality, not shedding your best players. |

At this rate, the team will become known as Sicknote Argyle, rather than Plymouth Argyle !!. Just hope Adams knows what he is doing and the gambles he is taking (regarding past injury problems). It is well known that Adams likes to build new squads on a regular basis and I just hope he has some signings that are a tad better lined up over the coming weeks. You can only judge the new look team when they been a unit for awhile and have played a number of games. If they do look ok, fair enough. If they don't look ok, they will be shipped out at the earliest opportunity no doubt and replaced. These low key signings make the increased budget speech Brent made look ridiculus, unless Adams has a wee gem or two tucked up his sleeve. |

| Shrewsbury having got rid of Joe out again Riley, to Akkeron Argo, have signed two players repeat two players for fees, Shrewsburys average gate is four thousand less than Akkerons. |

Yeah and if Derek had paid fees for 2 national league players as Shrewsbury have just done, you’d have been in the lead deriding it, remember Blissett and the crap that you amongst others posted about that signing! I’m sorry but if Messi was signed on a free transfer on 2k a week the club would still be a cheapskate in your view, so just can’t take you seriously! |

| This current regime is cheapskate, and worse. Has been since Brent rocked up and cottoned on to how easy it was to redirect football income. All totally legal under the sun. The Liverpool BBC chortle was classic. |

Because they don't have the austerity Akkeron twins, stiffling any ambition for success. |

Gaffer, i know you Akkeron arse lickers arent bright lads, but my point was Shrewsbury buy players, Brent and Hallet, trawl through the dustbins of small clubs signing injury prone donkeys. Dont you think a club with ten thousand fans should buy quality players rather than hoover up rejects from little clubs ? or are you just happy for argo to remain small and going nowhere under uncle Jimmy? |
