| But they said Carey was going last year and he didn't. And anyway any number of injured players are waiting to replace him. |

| But it's not a great club, is it. It's a vehicle for two peoples' pension and inheritance arrangements. I'm sure the offer was embarrassing, as people like Brent AND Hallett, who owns 40 odd %, all over the country are pushing down on their own specific industry labour costs, and pumping value into shareholdings and property portfolios. You either go along with it as a fan customer or you don't. Won't miss the tatts, but a nice broadside to the regime. Well done. |

| No doubt it will be sour grapes from an employee who wanted to be paid too much. LOL I'm actually surprised. Rarely do players, managers or CEOs actually have a hand in publicly having a pop at one of the footy clubs, knowing it could go badly for them later in their career. Again, if this is a good contact, then well done tatt man. |

No doubt David Koreshes cult band of followers on PASOTI are buttering it up as good riddance, value for money etc. So glad I earn a wage driven by a Bristol based main office and not a Janner one. |

| I have also heard Free Chat are turning on him also. The tentacles of PASOTI run very deep these days it seems.
After 2 years of exemplary service and a promotion how dare he expect a raise on his chicken feed wages?

| Has Brent got everybody's attention now? has the penny dropped yet avivas your beloved Brent has been exposed yet again and very publicly.
Just what the actual feck is he doing with this club?
if he can justify a new 5 year improved contract for a manager who still had 3 years left on his existing deal but at the same time cant/wont offer players like Bradley and Threlkeld going rate that players of their talent command in professional football in order to get them to commit to the club then surely now is the time his last remaining fans woke up and joined the rest of us in wanting this shyster out of this club asap. Sure some will say if we did that there is no gurantee they would of signed and they would be right but at least the club can look fans in the eyes and say they actually tried which it seems we didnt even attempt to offer them a tempting offer. So when will the hattrick be complete and David Fox leaves the club?
No one is going to convince me that signing a injury prone crocked defender is a good replacement for Bradley. Seems to me that we are going to have more of the same next season like for like players coming in and out and no strength and depth in the squad.

| Del boy won't be bothered, his personal stock will go up and up no matter what happens. A bit like a crooked union rep. |

Lets put forward a scenario and suppose that Adams "crooked union rep" persona lets him down and all of these players being signed evidently on the cheap don't produce the goods for him on the pitch, resulting in Argyle struggling next season with a worst case scenario of relegation. How on earth is Adams stock going to rise should that situation unfold? You can put your last dollar that, in spite of your previous assertions to the contrary,Adams stock would be down in the eyes of the majority of the fanbase rather than that of Brent -you only have to look at the reaction when Argyle were struggling last year and the apparent antipathy towards Bradley on other sites to understand that myopia and an inability to see the bigger picture are rife. The stock of struggling managers in league 1 tends not to rise much either when other clubs are making appointments-Adams has every incentive even from a purely personal point of view to be successful and despite Brent's eulogies about him in the press after the end of last season,it wouldn't take long for that to change and boardroom skins were to be saved, just ask Fletcher who was the subject of much praise from on high prior to getting the chop. |

| Stock takes many forms in the world of waged work. One of which is security of contracted employment for 4 years, not to mention an enhanced wage due to towing the line. If things go badly pitch-side next season, Adams won't be turfed out, that's a certainty in my view as Brent knows he won't get better and as compliant..... Sheridan taught him that. Relegation would still see Brent and Hallett guffing about how loyal they are to their managers while their other plans continue without managerial opposition. Adams could just stay put, and would then have a few years' wage to do the inevitable and get Argyle out of Div 4 again. With that all in mind, I just don't get what makes Adams tick in certain areas, and my mind keeps going back to the weird Ross dismissal, and his dad taking care of things. That is just so unusual in the world of pro footy. Adams would probably lock himself in the new ( ha ) toilets and refuse to come out. You clearly have a differing view of "stock" than I do Skinny. I see stock as the ability to continue to receive a good wage, not respect, as that goes up and down on a whim in football. In the end, owners these days just want managers who have experience of the job, recently successful or not, who know the football world in a sort of CEO functionary way. Sort of take care of the boring sweaty shop lower league stuff while the other more pressing matters are dealt with. And mentioning Fletcher in any context whatsoever is pointless. The guy was hopeless, which Adams plainly isn't. |

Yes, i certainly do have a different definition of stock and the mention of Fletcher wasn't in any way a comparison of managerial abilities. As for the rest of it,we'll see. |

So no chance he got an "enhanced wage" because he's been successful? |

Anyway wtf has HOF closing got to do with Argyle? Get your head out of your backside earwig, the point being that Bradley (who I would prefer to stay) is replaceable but HOF wouldn’t be. Quite surprising the ATD love in for Bradley, you know the player that DA had a lot of stick for signing from Crawley and just before Bradley was about to sign for Eastleigh! just shows how wrong you can be players. You don't get it and never will. The point isn't the player who may or may not turn out decent, its the constant policy of fishing around amongst others offcasts despite incoming money that could and should be spent on better. Its fine for taking a punt on, but when the entire squad is made of crocks and cast offs its piss poor.
What happened last season? The shit players were binned off and the crocks generally pulled up lame after playing a few matches on the trot because their bodies aren't used to it. Look at Makasi, never started a league match in his life, played 6 on the trot. Injured.
So we run out of players and end up winning 1 from the last 6. Well I absolutely do get it, but all this hand wringing nonsense about the current signings could have been cut and paste comments from each of the close seasons since Adams has been here, as for Makasi he was the back up option when the Grant loan signing was cocked up. And who’s fault was that? |

So no chance he got an "enhanced wage" because he's been successful? Under this present Brent and Hallett regime ? Nah. Managerial compliance is what is rewarded. Bradley's clear success on the pitch didn't lead to an enhanced wage offer. Non negotiable, Sonny, take it or leave it. |
