Always liked Ray, saw him play for Chelsea down here when he was about 18 and he ran the fecking show, very classy player. Believe he has had some drink problems over the years which maybe hasn't helped his current condition, hope he recovers fully-always a gentleman.

Great player, very good coach and right hand man and just as good a pundit aswell.

He was a very good player, a knowledgable pundit and what seemed like a very decent man.

84 England caps and someone who played for AC Milan, where he is fondly remembered. These were the days when very few English players left these shores, as they are still afraid to do, and Italian football was at its height. You don't do that if you can't pass a ball with the best of them.
