| The boy is caught drink driving simple as. I dont condone it and certainly havent done it for at least 25 years but I bet very few on this forum who havent done it at least once in their life intentionally or otherwise. FFS I cant be the only one who can see right through this "return to rehab" bollacks when anyone with an IQ of more than 7 can see its done purely to cuddle up to the beak when sentencing day arrives The previous bollacks as well with tramadol with him. I've been taking the stuff daily since 2002 (for chronic fibromalgia) and does nothing other than purely doing its job inotherwards stopping pain. I piss up when I want it makes no difference. I dont need rehab any more than the 1000s in Plymouth who take it daily He was perfectly "fine" in the jungle in November. He's perfectly "fine" now bar he got caught simple as ! His marriage is over so what. The geezer has £50 million and even if he didnt he'd still have girls throwing themselves at him. Pampered fuckers simple as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| People who have money are told how to behave and deal with courts. And of course, if there's one thing courts like, it's contrition, and a perceived determination to make amends. With other people, less fortunate shall we say, the courts often represent the enemy and are the last people that are going to get "I'm so sorry" directed at them. Add to that the plain fact magistrates and judges will be different souls to many defendants, and we end up with the skewed sentencing that we get. You can rob millions and millions in a certain way, get caught, and yet hardly see the inside of a praaappper prison. Even the arrogant detestable Shkreli on the other side of the pond has at last shown contrition, but all a bit late. Consequently, he at least gets to do some time, but even then, he'll be out in no time having defrauded/stolen/appropriated hundreds of millions, billions maybe, from other souls. He'll probably have a sudden contrived onset of serious illness like Leeson and get his time drastically cut and put to an hotel of an open prison that exist for such types. When he gets out he'll be presented with a rather large under the counter bill from his "advocates", no VAT payable. Meanwhile despots like Trump and Dueterte want street corner druggies executed, legally or otherwise.
The only successful connected people who get hammered by "justice" are those who fall foul "politically" or "personally" of a certain elite or powerful individual. They often get deported or some such thing, and then the Putin treatment, if they've been really naughty. It's all a thin veneer. |

| The truth is, prison is a waste of time for most offenders. Apart from a brief feeling of "yay we are punishing the naughty cos ee wuz bad", it costs a furrrkin ton, and ends up making most people worse than they were before.
For society, this fella would be better off checking himself into proper rehab, 'advised' to donate a significant % of his earnings to drink-drive related charity for the next x years, and banned from driving for x years.
Rehabilitation for addicts, proper jobs training/apprenticeship schemes, adequate housing for all. See re: Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland. |

| Are you seriously suggesting this poisoning story hasn't received enough press ? Don't worry your cotton socks, the established media know what they're doing. They love their quo vadis media celebs. All part of the storyline mix. |

Rehabilitation for addicts, proper jobs training/apprenticeship schemes, adequate housing for all. See re: Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland. Yes but we're a right-wing basket case of a country. The Daily Mail yells "lock 'em up!" and we do. Any hint of perceived leniency is leapt upon as being disrespectful of the victims or further evidence of senility in the judiciary. Every time. Everybody must be locked up: pregnant women, kids, addicts, the homeless, the illiterate, the mentally ill. Everybody. Even Our Lads who have been out there killing ragheads for the cause account for a disproportionately large number of our inmates no matter hos much Help For Heroes rhetoric gets espoused. And when they get locked up we expect them to sit in a cell for 23 hours a day with nothing but 4 bare walls to look at. Open Prisons? Wussy bed-wetting liberal nonsense, innit. Might as well be in a hotel. THEY MUST BE PUNISHED!!!! The government doesn't even want to build, maintain, staff or dictate policy in them and so has privatised them and they are often a nice little cash cow for G4S and co now. The government wants to wash its hands of them because if it doesn't it has to spend money and then the Daily Mail will say "why should we spend money on convicts when we can't even give our poorest school children free school meals"? Or similar. "Put up taxes so we can modernise our prisons" I hear you say. Are you feckin insane or what? Like that is ever going to happen. We want prison to incarcerate, punish and rehabilitate. In that order. There is little vision at all of the greater good that they could do and none at all of the greater picture. And that is that. So don't complain that the recidivism is rife, that damaged people enter prison and emerge broken, that many of them should not be there at all because there is no alternative and no desire to explore it if there is. |

Have you had a bag on your head for the last few weeks? There's been nothing but media hysterical blanket coverage of the Salisbury incident! |
