Why don't they just climb over the boards instead of huffing and puffing.

The Brizzle boys don't like losing do they, Rovers against City, Oxford or Swindon all guaranteed for a bit of argy bargy. If we get promoted there will be a repeat with the City crew no doubt - hey ho ere we go.

When I went in to the Lyndhurst (near Block 15/16), there were around 15-20 Rovers fans goading the queueing argyle fans, some of the Rovers fans were in their 50/60's. One started throwing punches at Argyle yoofs (missed each time) and he got started on by a group of Argyle fans, one of his fellow aged hoolies tried to punch an Argyle fan (from behind) but he got pushed to the floor and headbutted the concrete- big cut on his head and quite a lot of blood (his mate went mental saying he was 61).
Some of the Rovers fans looked to be out for trouble before the game started.

Anyone who is a hoolie at 61, particularly for a crap 3rd division club, might want to reflect that they have perhaps completely wasted their life.

Seems as if those divider cloth things in the stand did a better job stopping the gas invasion than the stewards lol

Walking down to the Barn Park exit after the match there were a couple of blokes in their fifties having a pop at each other, young kids around as well, absolute Bleddy disgrace and not a Copper in sight

From where I was in the ground it looked like “hand bags at dawn” with a lot of arm waving reminded me of school kids in the 70s.

Takes about 15 old bill to hold rover's back but takes only 2 coppers holding cameras to keep the argyle horde at bay.
Embarrassing and Pathetic really.

Looked ike to me that the Rovers lads wanted it to look like that they were trying to break through the line of stewards. But held back and just moved their arms up and down like a big bird

Loads of riot police up in Stoke village beforehand. It seemed that one of Argyle's mob was in the Stoke B & G with a smaller Rovers mob across the road in the in the Blockhouse.
As others have said they had ample opportunity to get at each other if they really wanted to. All a load of hot air and posturing really.
