| Not sure who he is but he seems to outbid everyone and then donate whatever it is being auctioned back. He also matched the highest bid on the Maradonna shirt that was auctioned for the Niemann Pick charity I asked Ian Newell to do recently, without wanting the shirt. Whoever he is, he has contributed massively to the totals raised by the Pasoti auctions.
Still think James Brent should be making these payments himself, but Nikkk certainly is generous and I'm grateful to him/her for the extra money he gave to the Niemann Pick research group. |

| It's all the posturing that gets me. if this guy is wealthy enough, why doesn't he just make a bleddy large donation and be done with it ?
It's hardly an auction, more of a mutual back slapping in public exercise.
Where is the puking emoticon ? |

| Interesting - I had thought both Mr Brent and Luggy.
I would say it is self-publicity except it is all done anonymously. |

| I have had many a chuckle at these so called auctions that only one person ever seems to win |

| If you take Nickk out of the equation the auctions haven't actually raised that much....... |

| Could it be Nick Warren, the former director ? As I recall he wasn't short of a few bob. |

Who knows, it's another one of those "you have to be a trusted, in the know type" to know who it is. |

| It is all a bit bizarre. People make realistic bids knowing full well that their bids are completely pointless. Then Nikkk comes in and pays whatever he see's fit, which is usually a fair few hundred more than the highest 'normal' bid.
He's obviously a very wealthy fella that can give away a few grand here or there without even flinching.
I've always thought it to be Nick Warren. |

I've always thought it to be Nick Warren. I was wonder that, was that the reason why Mr Web was going to give him his director seat? |

| I know Nic (yes it is Nic) pretty well - or used to, as I haven't seen him for at least a couple of years.
Can't quite put my finger on why, but I'm absolutely convinced it's not him. |

I wonder where he resides now, anyone know? People go on about Brent and Webb, but for me, Nic Warren is the singular most important figure in the club being here today. God knows what McCauley would have done if Nic hadn't shelled out the vast majority of the cash in the takeover. |

| Don't know, Czar. His brother stayed there, so it could be the long journey to every home game got too much for him. Or something.
One thing about him, though: he never, ever sought the limelight. |

One thing about him, though: he never, ever sought the limelight. Indeed, and that shows the class of the man. One or two current wannabe-saviours would do well to take note. |
