Too many excuses offered for a rank depressive. It is Argyle, and it is petty minded not to call the club by it's loved name. You might want to tell Paul Wotton that. He more often than not used to call us "Plymouth" when he was team captain. It applies to everyone. Steve Davey does the same on his radio commentaries. Say the name properly, or don't bother, especially when you have been made aware of the issue. Far too impersonal, with one eye on something else. One one hand, the BBC have made sure their local footy commentators are locally biassed, yet they also want demand other ancient old distances kept. weird. The way people and groups are addressed is a matter of polite respect across the world. It doesn't take a milisecond of effort. We all react if we are addressed in a manner we don't like. Oi, you ! I suspect Sheridan took great pleasure in giving it the muff thing when he found out it wasn't the done thing. You expect that sort of wind up, and far worse of course, from other managers, not your own. And as for Wotton's manner of communication, the wrong form of communication sometimes ends up in a kettling. |

He never really connected with the the fans and, to be honest, made almost no attempt to and was an impossible character to warm to.
I think he just ran his race down here and when he left it was to the relief of all parties concerned but we were stronger at the point of his departure than we were on his arrival and I wish we could say that about all of our managers. That's pretty much the size of it. Shezza was exactly what we needed at the time, but it was never a marriage made in heaven. It's been a bit of a surprise how poorly he's done since his stint here. |

| Big win for Shezza and the Cod army tonight Rochdale 0 - 2 Fleetwood, might be the result that sends Rochdale down and keeps Fleetwood up. He seems to be doing a good job so far. |

| I think Rochdale play twice a week right up until our game in a months time. Chances are they’ll be fooked by then - either relegated or hugely burnt out. |

| Shezza turned it around up at the mighty Fleetwood winning two nil against Northampton in relegation six pointer. |

| 2-0 up against Bristol Rovers, flying up the table. Old Shez certainly seems to have the knack of getting clubs out of relegation trouble. |

| The Cod army must be happy fishies, Shezza hasn't lost a game since taking over. Impressive. |

| Maybe that's his role in life, the sixth emergency service. Pulls you out of the drink, asks you to look away, sprays a bit of dodgy Banton steroid jump start around, takes a mobile card payment, grumps about the weather and life in general and rushes off to his next call, promising you'll get home, but it won't last, he doesn't do rebuilds, and suggests you contact your local garage for a proper job. |

He did carry out a bit of post emergency treatment down here though.Who knows, if the wicked squire had not kept the purse strings closed in true Tory fashion and allowed the head of department to retain the services of surgeon Hourihane and recruit appropriately [possibly even from foreign shores] as well, then a true resuscitational genius may have resulted. Shez would have flashed his Dr Christian Barnard smile in recognition of the public awe and Oldham and Newport would have stayed as mere places where away wins were a certainty. |

Petty, indeed Angry, as an ex manager he did a reasonable job at Argo, he is doing an excellent job at another club, he is just getting some recognition from posters on here that's all. Not sure calling him a rank depressive is particularly accurate, we all know he had a dour personality at times, and he would probably admit himself that he also comes across as a miserable barsteward. But does it matter - good luck to him. |

| I've never seen the role of manager as having to amuse the fans and press with his witty repartee he manages the team simple as. Shore he has to talk to the press but as long as he's winning games then he can say as much or as little as he likes. I liked Shez also just what we needed at the time. |

For what they are about to receive......... Why FFS? Don't people ever learn that good players don't necessarily make good managers or that someone like Barton will never change his spots? I'll give him until October at the latest. |

| Unbelievable Jeff.
Shezzas reputation is intact, enhanced even by the job he's done for Fleetwood so should have no problems finding employment elsewhere. Barton comes across as an immature mouth, can only see it going tits up. |

| Barton is a slightly more cunty version of Craig Bellamy. Both are actually quite intelligent and talk well. Bellamy is the archetypal stormy little gobshite, but Barton comes from a bloodline that is pure lowlife.
Will be interesting to know what Shez makes of it. He was probably on a good bonus to keep Fleetwood up. But if this is in effect a sacking to bring in a cnut who stubs cigarettes out in people’s faces, then I hope Fleetwood truly get what they deserve. |

| Barton is obviously what he is and maybe their owner wants some sort of crazy gang routine. Apart from that, I still maintain there's something not all there with Sheridan. How many clubs is that now since he walked away from here, whatever the reason ? More to Sheridan and his ways than is in the public domain. Anyway, not many nice people in pro football, so it's sort of par for the course. |

| Andy pilley, the fleetwood chairman is let’s say dubious to be on the generous side,Barton is a scally who happened to be good at football,so all in all they probably deserve each other.john Sheridan will rock up at another club and I wish him well,he is not everyone’s cup of tea ,but he pulled us out of the mire when we needed help so I wish him well.quite what the cod army will think of This who knows ?,but next season will be interesting! |
