He's 1.5 years into a 4 year contract here and I'd wager that Austerity Jim has probably got him on a reasonable wedge. Whilst Oxford aren't a particularly trigger happy football club, foreign investment may change that. I can't see it happening myself.

Interesting comments from DA on Saturday;

Presumably a reference to Toumani moving to Fleetwood. For certain it would put to bed the oft stated "wants to be near to his family "stuff, there could even be deeper interpretations for those with cynical viewpoints.....

It was actually quoted in The Herald at the time that Fleetwood were offering him "substantially" more money, but that didn't stop the Brentophiles. I often wonder why his family wasn't so important during the 3 months that he was here.
