PostSubject: Cobblers match day thread   Cobblers match day thread EmptyTue Nov 21, 2017 3:50 pm

News reached DRF HQ this morning this morning that the Junior General has a school egg chasing match this afternoon and will thus be late back. This will mean he will also miss his football training tonight.
A call to Bananabus travel confirmed that a seat was still available, and so I find myself on my way to Home Park later on, to witness first hand whatever the feck is going to happen with this football club tonight.
I'm going to wrap up warm, that's for sure. Hope the 50p out of date Bovril's are still on offer! parteeeeee

I shall be mostly sat on my fat arse, naked, wearing a 'Brent Out' bobble hat, drinking lashings of frothing ale whilst trying to catch up on the hundreds of photo's that need editing on the laptop and also listening to some fine 70's rock.

I shall of course have the Sky footy thingy show on in the background keeping an eye on this evenings proceedings.

Watching Akkron scuffle about and lose to Northampton, in a Morgue like neglegted Brentihad while handing over twenty three quid for the privilage to Uncle Jimmy?....... its a no from me! cheers cheers cheers

Man flu, too I'll to go if I wanted to. This wil be dire, two teams desperate not to lose. If we do lose its hard to see any chance of staying up, must win, probably draw  0-0.

Update, junior back earlier than expected. However, just like an Argyle goal keeper, he's picked up a leg injury, so there would be not football training anyway!
Another quick phone call to Bananabus HQ confirms a seat available for him to.
So look out Cobblers fans (and Newell and De Liar) (oh that would be soooo sweet) the DRF are coming for you! Handbags Ban there there :pighug:

Postey doing his bit for the AFT.

There's currently plenty of room in the car park for those who are interested.

Is that Brent's plan? Make the football so shite that no one uses the car park? lol!

Another loss, another abysmal performance' and more petulant fouls and clumsy tackles from our talentless 'footballers' adding to our red card tally should make for a pleasant evening if you're going. Glad I'm not.

Might be a few rumblings from the blinkered eternally grateful if another debacle ensues.

The freshening weather might just put the wind up the Northampton softees, and good grief, they are on a par with Akkeron, so fore shore, once, at least a point should be obtained. So glad I'm boycotting the continuing Brent asset strip of club and park. Sometimes you've just got to pat yourself on the back.

What a bunch of bollox. Drove past HP on my way home from work at about 7.05. Heavy traffic and a choc-full car park. Postey’s full of more shit than a Cornish cow field

The Cobblers really are seriously shit - so far, Grimes by far best player, so we may have a chance of actually winning a game at home. Banana
