Have been since I was about 16 the mans a genius, bit of a troubled mad as a box of frogs but then without mad musicians we wouldn't have had Lee Scratch Perry either. He's a bit like Zappa a bit of quantity over quality or some of it goes over yer head unless your a musical genius also, some of Beefers bluesy riffs still make the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Lee Scratch Perry is performing in Exeter next year.

Scratch to me is one of the last true eccentric musical geniuses left on the planet. Seen him many times over many years sometimes magical sometimes shit if he turned up at all.
His last gig at the phoenix was particularly good and got to shake his hand.
