| It would be ironic they used the Isaac Vassell money to buy himLuton Town are keen on bringing Plymouth Arygle centre-back Sonny Bradley to Kenilworth Road, according to reports. Hatters boss Nathan Jones suggested earlier today that he was eyeing at least one more signing before the transfer window closes, and it is understood he is close to completing one. Since then, the club have been linked with a move for 25 year old defender Bradley, with a fee of £250,000 being reported as what it will take to prise him away from the Pilgrims. Although Jones has Scott Cuthbert, Alan Sheehan, Johnny Mullins and Glen Rea to choose from, as well as talented youngsters like Akin Famewo and Frankie Musonda, he has stated he would always improve his squad if the opportunity came along. The Hatters kept a clean sheet against Colchester last weekend but their back four were given a torrid time by Barnet seven days earlier and conceded a late winner to the Bees. Hull-born Bradley started his career with his hometown club but made only a handful of appearances before leaving, following loan spells with Harrogate Town, IK Frej and Aldershot. After a year with Portsmouth and two with Crawley, he was a mainstay of the Plymouth side which beat Luton to automatic promotion from League Two last season, playing in all but two league games. It's not like he is out of favour at Home Park though - Bradley has started all three of Plymouth's League One games so far this season, as well as their League Cup defeat to Bristol City. | Brent Newspaper report
Plymouth Argyle fans will be hoping that the club can keep hold of one of their biggest assets, following a potential bid from League Two side Luton Town.
It is the man who was player-of-the-year last season, Sonny Bradley, who has been linked with the move away.
Reports are that the deal is worth £250,000 plus add ons, according to talkSPORT presenter Geoff Peters. |

| It's a win win situation. If he stays, Argyle, on the pitch, get to keep one of their two talismans. If he goes, Brent, in the owner's chair, gets it in the neck, even from the Avivas as he pockets yet another earner. There are some amusing similarities with Luton. They are owned by a property developer trying to extract unsuitable permissions from a resistant council who have big reservations, they want to move and finish their new stadium by, yes, 2020, in fact the company is called 2020, and they're buying the new patch for it off British Land PLC. Obviously, the same gold rush musical chairs under the disguise of a community football club, is hot and running all over the country. These arch profiteers with no regard whatsoever to community planning should have their assets sequestrated, and be put to work in Macdonalds for a few years, or propped up on a Deliveroo bike. |

| New Luton signing eyeing a return to League One
Luke Berry joined Luton Town as he sees the Hatters as his best shot of having another pop at League One football.
The midfielder had a single season at that level with Barnsley two years ago but failed to make the same impact at Oakwell as he did at the Abbey Stadium.
However, the 60 goals he scored in 239 games over two spells with Cambridge still made him one of the lower league's hottest properties, and one which Luton have wrapped up on a three-year deal.
"That's one of the main aspects why I've come," Berry told the club's website. "I feel that Luton can really push on this season and get promoted, get ourselves back in League One and hopefully keep progressing from there.
"It's a club that's on the up. It's not settling on this and it wants to keep on improving – like myself. I want to keep on improving with the club.
"It's always a big occasion when you play Luton. The fans always create a great atmosphere at Kenilworth Road. I can't wait to feel that atmosphere week in, week out now."
Meanwhile, a statement released by Cambridge United showed just how determined Luton were to land their man.
"Throughout the summer we have been clear that we had no desire to sell Luke Berry," the statement read. "The club has done everything possible to persuade Luke that his future lies with Cambridge United, including the offer of a new contract. However, Luke has made it equally clear to the club throughout the summer that he wished to leave.
"We had previously managed to repel offers from two other clubs in this transfer window before receiving bids from Luton Town on Friday and Sunday of last week, both of which were rejected. The situation changed earlier this week when Luke submitted a written transfer request and sought permission to speak to Luton Town.
"Whilst selling Luke to a fellow League Two club will be seen by many as unpalatable, we had to act in the best interests of Cambridge United when the player made it abundantly clear that he wished to pursue this opportunity.
"In these circumstances, we negotiated the best possible financial package for our club. We thank Luke for his contribution to Cambridge United in his two spells at the Club and we wish him all the best for the future."
